Did not realize most dust collection hoses are right hand spiral wire, this will only thread onto left hand!Also will not stay securely to all 4" dust ports.

Perfect connection port for a quick change between tools on my dust collector system. I have several larger tools that don’t have their own port on my system so this makes it easy to change from tool to tool without complication. I left one dust port and hose for this purpose and this quick connect both compliments and completes my dust collection system. Great product and received well before the estimated delivery date.

the threaded end fits well on my vacuum hose, very stable and you would not need any clamps. The push fitting end, however. will not fit on a 4 inch dust collection port well. Won't stay, you would have to stand there and constantly hold it on. Not impressed.

I think the tool would have been more useful if the tapered portion had been rubberized.

This adapter is solidly made and works as intended. It screws into the coiled hose, ostensibly to negate the need for a clamp. However, it was so loose in the hose, I had to clamp it anyway.The purpose of this item is to be able to move the dust collector hose from machine to machine without having to unclamp it each time. It does this just fine - on four inch dust ports. It fits on my 14" Jet band saw ports just fine. The nozzle is hard plastic, so it doesn't really 'grip' the port, but it still fits and stays on. The nozzle is tapered to attach to ports that vary by a couple millimeters in diameter from each other. Decent price.

I work in a small space and share a wall mount dust collector between most of my woodworking machines. I had been looking at more expensive, proprietary fittings that would make it easy to move between tools then I found this much cheaper alternative. I decided to give it a try and it works great with the stock fittings on my cabinet saw, bandsaw, planer, and jointer.Getting this thing attached to the hose was a bear but it’s super snug and I don’t expect to change it again so I’m fine that it was difficult once.Overall I’m a fan and glad I found this and saved a bunch of money.
