I bought two for my two McClane edgers. On one of them, the "kevlar" outer wrap shredded, exposing the inner belt. So now it's just a normal belt.On the other, the "kevlar" wrap hasn't torn yet. I think maybe the "kevlar" wrap simply rubbed something and tore.Don't go into this purchase simply for the "kevlar". It's just a belt with a "kevlar" wrap as a gimmick. As far as the bet goes, it's a belt. It does what it's made to do and no more.....
