  • CARBON STEEL OMELETTE PAN - Make the perfect omelet with this pan, a de Buyer signature shape: its rounded edges allow you to easily roll & slide food onto your plate. It’s made of carbon steel, which is one of the most natural cooking materials.
  • NO HARSH CHEMICALS - Lighter, more heat responsive than cast iron & better adapted to high heat than stainless steel. Naturally non-stick after seasoning, this pan is free from PFAS, PFOA, and PFOS and made without any chemical coatings.
  • EASY TO SEASON - Handwash to remove the beeswax coating, dry. Gradually heat to med-hi. Apply a thin layer of oil to coat bottom & sides. Heat approx. 10 mins. or until it begins to smoke. Cool 10 mins., drain & wipe dry. Reheat to med-hi for 2 mins.
  • USE & CARE - Hand wash only & avoid harsh soaps that can strip the seasoning. Can be used on all cooking surfaces, including induction. Oven safe for up to 10 min at 400F.

I really liked my omelet pan but I tested it for lead. It came back positive for lead around the rivets. It's so sad. I tested it again and it came back positive. I guess I won't be buying de buyer again.

No complaints about the pan. It is superior quality and thickness. Once seasoned, you should have no problems with it. My only complaint is that I feel it’s a little expensive for an 8 inch omelette pan but hey, you get what you pay for. It may be a little more expensive but it is pretty awesome. I have decided to keep it.

I had an old aluminum non-stick omelette pan that got too scraped up up from years of use, and looked around at options before settling on this one. Construction was great, it was obviously very durable... but the most important feature, being non-stick, I just could not get it to cooperate.I tried seasoning about a half-dozen times with canola oil, and even buying separate seasoning wax, but my eggs continued to stick horribly every day. I sent it back a few days before end of return period. I'm not a great chef or anything, and chalking it up to user error rather than manufacturing issue.

Love the build quality. Easy to season on the stove. Heavy carbon steel. Great size for two fried eggs or 2-3 egg omlet. I have a larger mineral b pro pan, and love it. Now I think I will be using this daily.

First, anyone who complains about these or any other carbon pans not being non-stick or rusting doesn’t know how to cook. Sorry to be blunt but it’s the truth. It’s not magic - it’s carbon steel. If you season it properly and oil it properly, it WILL be non-stick and will NOT rust. So if that’s not the case for some people, it means they’re not doing either of the above correctly and most likely don’t have any concept of temperature control while cooking.So my advice to anyone reading reviews is to disregard any about rust or non-stick. If that’s a concern of yours, stick with Teflon and make it easy.That being said, for carbon steel pans, reviews that are valid should be around thickness, hot spots, weight, etc. This is a high quality carbon pan that won’t warp because the steel is relatively thick compared to some others. As a tradeoff, it’s a touch heavier. Not in the same league as cast iron however.Overall a very well made pan. You just need to know how to cook with and care for carbon steel.

Once you buy a carbon steel pan and correctly season it, you'll never need to use another Teflon one again. These pans are made to last and last for a very long time, the more you continue to use them the more naturally seasoned they get, this one I've now initially seasoned and is ready for a life of a "eggs only" and nothing else pan on the stove top.The routine I use on all my DeBuyer pans after use is a quick wipe out or rinse with hot water, then well dried, first by hand then warmed over a gentle heat, adding a very thin wipe over with a layer of Rapeseed oil, then letting it cool before putting away ready for the next time it's used.Big thanks to HAUSwares and Liam for the fast delivery service.
