The part has a very strong chemical smell to it. I am not sure if it's the paint or the rubber. Be prepared to close the fresh air vent in your vehicle's A/C unit. If not, the smell is going to enter the cabin and choke you. It has been 4 days and the smell is still strong. Hopefully over time the smell will dissipate.Overall the part is an exact replica and does the job. Installation on the other hand is difficult and requires jiggling and a second pair of hands to bolt down.11/8/16 Just noticed the rubber broke apart. Terrible quality and I am very disappointed. At least the smell has disipated after 1 month.
