This is the third torque mount I have installed on my 93 Accord. The OEM last over 15 yrs which is a testimony to the Quality Honda requires of its suppliers. But the OEM part is over 10 times more expensive even through an online Honda parts seller. The failed one I just replaced was the SKP brand (see that review for specifics). It failed in approx 18 months. This DEA-branded torque mount looks identical to the SKP so I am not sure if its not the same supplier selling under different retail names. The rubber 'cross' in the large end is where the failure occurs. To try and prevent that flexing/tearing, I filled the entire large end gaps with clear GE silicone that I had left over from a caulking project. I let the part 'cure' out in the open for 2 days and the sillcone was pliable but not to the point where the rubber 'cross' would move much. I am hoping this is a more permanent 'fix' for my front torque mount. And I figured the half a tube of silicone was going to go 'solid' on me anyway. Go way to use it up. BTW, shifting into reverse now is a solid 'whoomp' sound vs the clangy noisy engagement when the torque mount upper rubber is torn loose. Feels very solid and the auto trans shifts better with a more solid feel.

Lowest possible quality front torque mount. Im not joking when I say your current worn out front mount is probably better than this thing is. I guess if youre running a insert or are doing windo-weld in the mounts it would be fine. But as it is, this thing doesnt feel like any new dogbone ive ever seen n Ive done alot of these over the years.( ive felt oem ones that were cracked n busted, n they still had less deflection than this thing, it feels like the rubber in a kids toy, seriously) Best advice is to stay away from this one.

Works great, car was shifting rough, thought my trans was going out, replaced this, car shifts smoothly and rides better. Saved me from having to get a new trans, installed in less than a hour with just a couple ratchets and sockets.

The bottom smaller part was too thick(by about 2.5mm) for the housing of my 1991 Honda Accord, Like I could use a rubber mallot and push it in but trying to take it out for adjustment or what not wasn't happening, after using a pulley and some muscles, got it out again, so I shaved about 1.2mm off of it on both sides to get it to fit snuggly but still be able to move it around to adjust so I can push the bolt back through the hole.

Good quality. Very affordable. 5000 miles tested. Installs well. Bought for my 1993 Accord. Works in 90-93 Accords and maybe more models.

for my 1990 accord this fit just right. However, the installation was a complete hassle, so be prepared to get frustrated when none of your wrenches fit in the space you have, but I digress.
