Cute idea. Not very heavy. Few dings and wood that didn't quite fit together. Visible glue everywhere. I'm keeping them because they will serve my purpose for now in my son's nursery, but if I saw them in person, I wouldn't buy them. I got them for $10 on sale. If they were any more, I would have sent them back.

The bookends were packaged securely in the box with bubble wrap and styrofoam, but the box seemed to have a layer of dust on top that I could wipe off. The corners of the wood were sanded nicely, which I wasn't expecting and think is awesome, especially if kids will be around these. The blue paint of the mountains had areas that reminded me of grimey toddler handprint smears on glass. There were also a few areas of wood that have blue paint where there shouldn't be. These bookends are a cute idea, but if I saw them in person I wouldn't have purchased them due to the paint.

The bookends are very cute for my grandsons room. The only negative is that they do slide apart as he rummages through the books.
