As others have pointed out, the toolbox leaks. You also can't quite shut it, unless you disassemble the entire closing brackets and realigned them (maybe, I don't have the patience for that because the leaks started so quickly). I put it on a 2015 Frontier, and couldn't add the support bracket because if you do, you won't be able to keep the lid open without holding onto it.I should have heeded the negative reviews. The price looked like a good gamble, but I'm not even sure what this return process is going to look like. The company's customer service just told me to return it almost immediately, so I assume they know they're peddling a bad product. Just save your cash until you can get a good brand.

Quick shipping, good price and easy to install, without help, even for old part like me.

Tools and some assembly required. The box was easy to install, using a drill, a measuring tape and a second pair of hands. The lock included doesn't work - it won't lock or turn at all. I requested a replacement from the manufacturer. Will update review when/if I receive the new lock.

Positives - Polyethylene crossover tool box is weill built, ample storage space with J-bolts to hold box in a tight position meets my expectations. Plus it fits on my Nissan Fontier perfectly with low profile.Negatives - Tool box locking device consist of a sliding metall bar to engage top and bottom of tool box on both ends. What happens, tightning J bolts to secure toolbox to the truck impacts metal bar alingment. Attempting to correct alignment continues to be an issue. I am assuming tension is the cause rather than a design flaw, since I am able to engage locking after several attempts.

Bought this box for my Yamaha Viking UTV, fits perfect and way more affordable than a purpose built UTV box.

Purchased this toolbox for my 2022 Toyota Tacoma... perfect fit, and looks great (I bought the black plastic box vs a stainless or diamond plate). Adds a more complete look to the truck, and it's deceptively spacious for a 15x15x63 box. Also features a metal stabilization support bar that prevents warping/bowing over time. Box can be locked -- comes with one key. The only suggestion for this item is to feature a sliding storage tray for small items like rags, bungee cords, bolts & screws, etc. Otherwise, yep... I'd buy it again... Great value for the money.

Installed in 2021 Ford Ranger and it fits great even though the app said that it doesn't fit this model. Great toolbox for a small truck and it doesn't take up the whole bed.

If you're looking at the Dee Zee DZ6163P, you're probably in the market for the least expensive cross-bed storage box for a medium-sized pickup. One that features more storage capacity than a child's lunchbox. It is all of that, with a couple of considerations.Foremost, the lock is crap. It froze up after the first rain, and took a half-hour and a can of lock fluid to regain access to my gear, without having to resort to a hand torch. (more on that below) If you do end up buying this box, plan on swapping out the lock. I found a decent cam lock and waterproof cap for less than $20, and swapped them out in less than five minutes. See the attached photo. As for security overall, it isn't steel. It will present an inconvenience to anyone who wants what they think you have, and that may be enough to keep it secure in public areas. A couple of minutes with a torch should be enough to soften the area around the lock and allow it to be punched out. Let your paranoia be your guide in that regard.Otherwise, it has a decent capacity. I use it to store a jack, jumper cables, tie downs and assorted other gear that won't fit in the cab of my 2003 Ranger. The black plastic flexes rather than dents, and doesn't readily show scratches, which makes it preferable to the other, smaller aluminum boxes in this price range. It does ride pretty high, but that isn't really an issue for a regular cab pickup.Based on all of the above, I give it a solid 3 stars. You're rating may be up or down, depending on how much you're willing to sacrifice to save a hundred or two dollars.
