This boat is built and works shockingly well for the price. The plastic is hard, and the battery cover has a double seal to help keep water out. It's fast, has a good run time, and is self-righting to boot. The only things I don't like are the water sensor which acts as an auto-on. The propeller can't be tested unless the boat is in the water. This is a small thing, but I wish it had a more standard on/off switch. Also, this boat does include another propeller, but since this isn't a major brand, it might be a chore to find spare parts. Still, overall this is a true hobby grade boat for a decent price, and a good entry into the world of RC boating.

Had an concern with first boat received. Service sent a new boat to replace the old boat. The boat performs flawlessly on the water and is a blast to operate. On top of that, the customer service was excellent—responsive, helpful, and made the whole experience smooth from start to finish.

First off this is pretty impressive compared to other small electric boats I've had. It's not a 4s kit boat and even being 3s, it comes with a li-ion pack, so for the asking price is a lot of fun. The remote is pretty generic and the receiver range isn't something I'd want to push, but I had no problem running it 200ft out into the towns duck pond. Performance was punchier than I'd thought it would be, so you need to apply the throttle with care, or you'll flip it easily. As long as your pack doesn't shift, the capsizing function seemed to work fine, but when I tried another battery, I had issues. I brought along a 3s li-po and that woke it up quite a bit more, but I think that's what shifted and made the capsize function fail. I'm not knocking a star because it was an aftermarket battery pack, and I could have secured it better. Besides that, there were no issues, and I can see this being a fun boat to bring along to the park with my others and a couple of friends.

Very fun little boat. Fast. Thinking about buying a 2nd one because my 12 year old son likes it as much as I do. 10-15 minute run time at full throttle but extra packs don’t cost much

My kids love this thing and it is super fast. I don't have a way to confirm the 30mph top speed but I would guess it is pretty accurate. We have a small pond at our house and this rips around it. It has enough power to shoot itself out of the water when you pull the trigger. It has flipped over on us a few times and the rollover button works most of the time. I have only ever used nitro boats so I thought this was a pretty cool feature. I did have to kayak out once to rescue the boat because the function wasn't able to get it to flip. I took a star off because I am having some intermittent connection issues with the remote. Something might be loose on the inside as it will randomly beep and the lights will flashes and it will lose connection with the boat. Batteries are brand new. Bit of an annoyance at this point.

This thing really surprised me with how much raw torque it has. It will throw a roost way behind it and pull from a dead stop like crazy. The top end isn't super fast or anything, which for a sub $150 brushless boat is probably the best place for someone to start out before chasing speed. As others have stated, this uses lithium ion cells in a 3S configuration rather than lithium polymer so it is sort of self limiting in that the batteries cannot really provide the current required to reach peak power with this setup.Once you get used to it I would recommend searching around for a 3S lipo that will fit and stay snug in the hull as that will really increase overall performance and is an easy upgrade (that really should have been factory, but I can see why they'd go lion).I didn't get to spend a ton of time with it on the water, but in that time the hull stayed completely dry. Not a drop of water in the hull. Which, while that's great, it also means maintenance or upgrades means an extremely invasive procedure to split the hull, if not impossible. Probably not an issue for 99% of people, but worth noting that maintenance will not be easy.Overall I really like it. Really good power, great hull design that tracks super straight and tons and tons of power. I might experiment with a different prop to try and increase the top end. It's such a rad little boat.
