The patented DeFeet Armskins have a list of victories in all the major bike races around the world. A favorite of runners for cool mountain runs or chilly mornings. There are no vertical seams for a consistent and aerodynamic fit.

In the hills of Northern France and Belgium are cobblestone roads that have lasted for centuries, and are still popular routes for runners to this day. After conquering these very hills, DeFeet designers created the company's award-winning Armskins specifically to withstand the damp, chilly punishment that runs on these roads dished out. The patented sleeves have been worn to racing victories all over the world, and are a favorite of cool-weather and chilly morning runners.

There are no vertical seams in order to ensure a consistent, aerodynamic fit, and the sleeves are made of machine washable 49% Coolmax EcoMade (created from recycled plastic bottles), 47% nylon, and 2% Lycra. A long wristband offers extra warmth, while the SeCurl no slip band on the biceps keeps everything firmly in place.

Warranty
DeFeet products include a limited one-year manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.

About DeFeet
DeFeet owner and founder Shane Cooper came to the United States from England during the late 1960s, when he was four. His father supported the family by distributing knitting machines, which helped Shane develop an early interest in well-crafted knit materials. He also loved bicycles and, in the early 1990s, he decided to bring these two passions together in order to create a unique new product, the Aireator. This cycling-specific sock was the first open mesh weave airflow design sock, and DeFeet's first product.

The company has continued to grow and expand its line over time. DeFeet products -- primarily socks and other against-the-skin base layer items intended for sport use, which are always made in the USA -- are deceptively simple, yet durable and offering performance properties beyond what you'd typically expect.

Rule of thumb is if the temp drops below 60 degrees F, start layering! These have an amazingly Wide Temperature Range while remaining comfortable plus some added upf

They said this product was plenty long for tall people but I still wasn't prepared. I'm 6'3" with a 6'5" wingspan and the large/xl was oversized for even me. As said by other reviewers, mine rolled at the top to bunch the material. If that's a deal breaker, definitely look elsewhere, or get a small. For me, I notice it until I don't anymore. It doesn't interfere with biking or other activities, and it's plenty comfortable. The material itself is great. It feels like cotton or wool or something natural, not like polyester or nylon. I couldn't ask for a nicer feeling against my skin, and it wicks well. I did accidentally get water on it once, and I had to take it off and set it on a radiator to dry, so be warned if you're biking with these in the rain, but I haven't noticed any sweat build up when I'm wearing them.I bought the orange, and I'm happy to report that it looks like a classic color while still being bright enough to be visible to cars.Overall a quality, a well made product. I would buy from this company again.

I'm 5'9'' and have skinny arms, so the small/medium should be my size. They seem great when I put them on but then they quickly roll down when on the bike. I love the defeet material. Warm alone as your only layer for your arms down to the low 40s and don't feel too hot until maybe 70. Wicks sweat well. But the roll-down aspect is super-annoying and I wouldn't care to look for any other arm warmers if they could just stay up. I may try them in large just to see if the excessive size for me will be okay with the roll down if there's a good offer.

I have worn these for years and now bought another pair in white. Thankfully they are just as long as the originals and the fabric feels just as good if not better. This summer I'm experimenting with these in hot and humid weather and so far in very humid conditions in the 70's low 80's so great. They are not hot at all and keep the sun at bay from heating my skin. I realize they make a super lightweight version of these but I find no fault with these even in the heat. I sweat alot in the humidity too and the thickish fabric absorbs the moisture and creates a colling effect in the wind. My arms are completely cool after taking them off. Knit Coolmax is one of my favorite fabrics as it never feels hot or cold, unlike many other polyesters. Don't ask me how, it just works and has for may years despite many other fabrics coming along.

LOVE these! DeFeet arm warmers are hands down the best. They actually STAY UP (unlike other brands I've tried). The acrylic ones are especially versatile for both cycling and running. The neon color is particularly wonderful for night runs, since they enhance visibility. Arm warmers are one of the niftiest inventions ever, because they provide such a great option for "iffy" weather. If you're looking for greater warmth on the bike, go with DeFeet's wool armskins--- absolutely fantastic for chillier rides. For running I stick with acrylic simply because I generate a lot more heat in my upper body when running, so never need the extra warmth of wool.Bottom line: a GREAT product, well-made, and something an athlete will use almost daily in cooler months. One of my favorite things!

Like I said, the S/M is too short and I'm an average small-medium cyclist. 5'10" 152, avg arms & legs. The Smart Wool arm warmers are WAY better.

FYI S/M is 17 inches long, the L/XL is 20 inches long. They seem like a nice product but I haven't used them yet, so can't comment anymore. UPDATE: I have used them quite a bit. They are great. They are beefy and warm. Not totally windproof or for very cold temps (say 30-40's), but they are useful during the spring/fall when you need something in the morning, but what to have a short sleeve jersey when/if things warm up. They are perfect to let you bring a lighter-weight, less-windproof jacket instead of a heavier one because they can block the arm chill. And of course when the temp changes you can take them off (or put them on).

I'm 5'10, 160-ish pounds; a normally skinny build but I work out a bit so my arms thin but not complete twigs. I was a bit worried about size since there's only a S/M and L/XL but I went for the L/XL to be safe. They fit my arms just fine (width), in fact they're about perfect. They're a bit long on my arms but I just fold the top down a little bit (which also make it easier to pull off mid ride). Plenty warm and reasonably comfortable. My only complaint was that I was expecting a softer material. It's not rough, but not butter soft spandex like a good pair of bibs; it feels more like a cotton shirt (although it's not) but with stretch.Update after a couple months of ownership: I pretty much wear these every time I ride. Sleeves are perfect for southern Californian winters. If I get too hot on a climb or something I just pull them down to my wrists, slide them back up for a decent. The material is no bother, in fact the cotton-like feel is nice when the nose starts dripping on those cold mornings. The material does breathe, and allow wind through. It's perfect for mid 40s to 50s, but if you're looking for something for real cold conditions you'll want to look elsewhere. There's no slipping whatsoever. Moving up to 5/5 stars, very happy with these.
