I ordered these DEHANER Swim Trunks for Men Quick Dry Board Shorts with Zip Pockets for my teenage son to take to camp this summer.These trunks are made from 100% polyester; the fabric is lightweight, strong and sturdy. The fabric is not stretchy, but the elasticized waist is quite stretchy.These shorts have a wide, working drawstring that looks a bit like a shoelace. I tied knots in each end immediately, because they looked in imminent danger of slipping through the waistband while in the laundry. There are two zippered pockets; a great idea for holding on to small things like sunglasses. The pockets are lines with a mesh like material.These swim trunks came in twelve different patterns and colors; I ordered the American flag design for my son. He liked the pattern a lot, and found the shorts comfortable, though bigger than he needed.My son is just under 6’ tall; he weighs about 200 pounds. He’s built big, not heavy, and I usually buy him size 38 pants. He prefers his clothing a bit large for comfort; his waist is closer to a 36 1/2. Measured flat and unstretched across the front, the waistline measures 15” (30” waist). Stretched, these 21 1/2” across the front, a waistline measurement of 43”.This might not be an issue in shorts, but in a swimsuit that gets heavier when wet, my son expressed concern whether these would drag down in the water.Also, there’s no under lining in these swim trunks; this is more like a baggy short made of quick dry swimsuit material.My son likes these a lot as shorts; they’re great for activities when you might get wet, like a car wash or water balloon fight, and they’d probably be fine for activities day at the water park. The shorts are baggy, with a 7 1/2” inseam. But my son prefers more inside support for a suit he plans to swim in.I gave these four stars because of size and fit issues; I assumed that swim trunks came with a lining because all the ones I’ve bought my husband and son had linings. There was no size chart on the sales page; I looked up a 38” waist and saw that it usually is a size XL in men’s clothing, so I ordered the XL. A size chart would have been very helpful here. Be aware there’s a lot of stretch in the waist and these are cut loose and baggy. The en short are nicely made and the fabric is sturdy and durable; if these were lined, and I had been able to choose the right size from a size chart, these would have been an easy five star from me. I especially like the plastic zippers on the pockets; very convenient, though don’t forget your iPhone is in your pocket before swimming.At the current price ($19.99) I think this is in line with what I’ve seen in big box stores for summer shorts. I don’t know if I would call this a swimsuit because it doesn’t have that inside mesh layer for support. These are fun shorts, and they’re excellent for water related activities and beachwear. When I was a kid, my brothers used to wear shorts like these over their small Speedos to swim meets and take them off right before the race; these would be useful like that.

The pink color is a nice touch, and the price point is likely more attractive than some specialized women's athletic wear. Just be sure to factor in the missing liner when making your decision. Recommended, but with that important caveat!

I love the patriotic design on these shorts. These are NOT swim trunks. Swim trunks have an inner mesh and these do not. Underwear or other swim brief will need the be worn under these shorts . My husband loves the design and that they are lightweight but is not comfortable to wear them as swim trunks with nothing underneath.

17 year-old LOVED these lightweight, fast drying board shorts. They don't have built in underwear, which he prefers, so he can wear these in and out of the water. He loved the touch of pink, which is really in right now for the summer, and paired it with a cream t-shirt and also a black polo. Drawstring at waist goes all the way around and works. Packs up small so he can easily take it with him to friend's houses in case they want to jump in the pool. Great shorts and I'm happy that my teen is happy!

Really great price for a quality trunk. My husband is a 36" waist and I ordered him a large. They fit perfectly with the elastic waistband, no need for the drawstring. However, there is a drawstring, if needed, which is nice to have. These also have zippered pockets! So great if you need to carry small waterproof items while swimming. These are long. My husband is 5'11" and these come below his knees. He is not too picky, but these would be great for someone who prefers a more traditional longer length versus the newer style that is going shorter on men. These do not have a liner, which my husband prefers, but that is personal preference. They are more like a board short.My only complaint is that the material is rather thin. That is going to be a great feature for quick drying, but they show a silhouette underneath. You can't see skin through them, just the shape of body parts that would be better covered with a thicker fabric. Hopefully the wild pattern will cover well enough when these are wet!

Zip pockets are a plus with these trunks! I matched this with a beige knit shirt and the pairing was perfect. The zip pockets insure that wallet and cellphone are secured.
