The alarm clock itself works as advertised, but I cannot stress enough to go look at the reviews for the Dekala app WHICH YOU HAVE TO USE - the app is horrible. There's no app support, the email address for "support" is invalid. It makes the item unusable as an alarm clock as the time will just randomly change to where your alarm does not go off, or goes off in the middle of the night with no warning. You cannot set it up without the app.

This thing is simple to use and it really does improve the overall waking up experience. Bought it a few years back and other than it running slightly faster than most clocks, (every couple months you have to set it back a minute or two to match the actual time) it was totally worth it. Love this little thing. I do also wish that the period between the light coming on and the noise function could be less than 10 minutes. But I still love it.

I am such a sucker for anything colorful that lights up and I LOVE that the colors blend as they change! I literally squealed when I opened the box because I was so excited that it arrived! It’s 7.5” across and 3.5” deep. It has a USB plug and includes an AC wall plug. Also has a white cord that is 48” long. It’s round, but it’s not a sphere…more like a fried egg yolk. There’s a stand that is formed out of the plastic and it stands at about an 80º angle. It is certainly not light enough to be used as a light source. I’d call it a night light, but that doesn’t do it justice! It’s more like a piece of lighted art! There are 30 colors / color-effect options. But getting to the one you want is tedious. There is ONE button on the back and you have to press it over and over to get to your chosen color. If you follow the chart in the manual, it does work, though. A LOT of ‘One press’ then ‘Double press’. I did run into problems a couple of times approx ¾ the way through and lost where I was at. But, no worries, because my favorite color is the first one! It’s a gentle rainbow blend that keeps swirling around. It is easy to see during the day, but not super bright. At night, it’s just WOW!!

I thought this lamp was going to be more egg shaped, I didn't watch the videos before ordering to see that it's more UFO shaped and the first bunch of pictures show the shape from an angle which looks like an egg. Anyhow, light is very white on its own, making most of the colors look pastel-like which is nice. Light output is very low, so don't expect it to be an accent light, think night-light levels (probably why it's marketed as a nursery light). I measured the USB current at 2.5W which means it can easily be powered by a USB 5000mAh power bank and put anywhere for 5+ hrs. The cord uses a custom USB-A to DC 4mm and isn't very long at 4ft. A 2A USB-A AC adapter is included. As another reviewer mentioned this light reverts to "off" when usb is plugged and unplugged as well as it doesn't remember your previous setting (but the power is low enough you could just leave it on all the time). The button is awkward to select the different light modes, some requiring a double click to change modes which doesn't make sense, more single clicks would be easier as sometimes I mean to double click and I'm not quite fast enough and it registers as a single to move to the next lighting group. There breathe modes are a little hokey as the light flickers through the dimmer steps so it isn't fluid. The lamp is low cost for what it does and feels rather robust. If you don't have high expectations for an accent lamp given the above caveats then you'll enjoy this product.

First, let me make it clear, I'm a sucker for lighting, all kinds of lighting. I love Lamps, Night lights, Christmas lights, and just about any kind of gimmicky object that lights up, from hats, jewelry, and toys, to wind spinners and garden gnomes. It’s a good time for my obsession, because here have never been so many unusual and interesting, low-power-consuming options available.I ordered the DEKALA DIMMABLE BEDSIDE TABLE LAMP/NIGHT LIGHT FOR KIDS for myself. The only thought I had about giving it to a kid, was just a passing thought, about who I would give it to, if I didn’t like it. Well, now that I have it, I’m not giving it up. I love it!Here’s what I love about it:The bargain priceThe excellent qualityThe beautiful, elegant, simple shape and design. The lovely ambient light it casts. This light has truly exceeded all my expectations. It doesn't look plastic or cheap; it looks ethereal, and a little bit dreamy and other-worldly. It also looks way more expensive than it is. It is well packaged, powered via USB, and includes the USB cord AND the adapter. It is perfectly boxed, and perfectly suited for gifting. My only complaint, is that the included manual isn't as clear and easy to understand, as I would like. This lamp only has one button, but it has 11 colors and many modes that can be programmed. The manual is mostly graphic illustrations, of ways to set the various programs, including ones called “sunrise” and “sunset”. I have yet to figure out how to set it to stay on, in one solid color, or even if it actually does that.In any event, the changing colors fade in and out, and are soothing, rather than strobing. My overall satisfaction with this light is excellent. It looks nice wherever you put it. It does not look cheap or plasticky, and would make an excellent gift for anybody, adult or child.
