This trowel is easier to clean than my previous trowel that was an inexpensive one from the orange big box store. That float trowel had a sponge like bottom but this is a flatter smooth type. This float is also on the larger side which covers more area but if you are a beginner it is a little harder to work with over a smaller float. For me it was easy to use (I have only tiled about 10 tile jobs so I'm a beginner), and I think that this float trowel is way better quality than the inexpensive one I got from the big box store. It seems like it's going to last so I find it's at a good price point.

I bought this float to re-grout a shower surround and to grout a floor. I have rather small hands, but the handle was kind of a reinforced foam. It was VERY sturdy and my husband, who has much larger hands, also found it easy to use. It was fairly simple to clean (although it may be handy to have an old toothbrush to get the crevis where the pad meets the backing if you switch between colors). It didn't get into the tight spaces as easily, but it functioned wonderfully for the larger areas of the floor. Just be sure not to do too much of an area at one time or any kind of grout cleanup gets rough. It did well with squeezing the grout into the cracks - especially if I sprayed the tiles down with just a little water in a spray bottle first. I would say this is a good value if you have multiple projects to get through or want a good tool in your arsenal. Not certain how it would be for a professional / daily use tool.

The handle is too short and thin for comfort - no room for knuckles when working overhead. There is a hard to clean lip above the pad, The edges are unsupported and more likely to come unglued. Overall quality is lacking. I prefer the "G" brand.

This is a good float. We used it for pushing grout in our new wood look tile floors. It worked very well. It was a slight squish/flex to the surface which allowed us to move thr grout without scraping it too thin. If you need to pack tightly you may fight a little with this due to the flex, but it worked great for our purposes.

I've found myself reaching for the DEKOR Grout Float more often lately, and it’s no surprise why. This tool has become indispensable for my DIY masonry projects. Most recently, I used it on a stucco patch, and I was once again impressed by how well it performed. As with many of my home projects, blending new work with existing materials is crucial for a seamless look, and this grout float delivered. It's particularly effective for creating the smooth, even surface I needed before adding the finishing textures to the stucco. One of the challenges of working with stucco is achieving a smooth enough surface before bringing out the aggregate to give it texture. If you don't get this step right, the patches can stand out, causing uneven areas that make it difficult to blend the new work with the old. This is where the DEKOR Grout Float excels. The float has a solid, special rubber base that helps to apply just the right amount of pressure, allowing me to create a smooth, flat surface before I went in with a sponge float to add texture. The key to a successful stucco patch is getting that smooth, even surface, and this float helped me do just that.I particularly appreciate the ergonomically designed handle, which features a lock system. It feels secure in my hand, even when applying pressure during tough tasks like stucco work. Whether I’m working on small patches or larger surfaces, the float is comfortable to use for extended periods without causing strain. Another thing that stood out was the float’s exceptional ability to keep the grout or stucco material from sticking. It was easy to glide across the surface without worrying about build-up, allowing me to work efficiently. After completing the stucco patch, I was impressed by how easily the float cleaned up. Unlike many tools that require tedious scrubbing, this grout float took less than a minute to clean. A quick rinse and wipe, and it was back to looking as good as new. The fact that it didn’t retain any grout or cement residue was a major time-saver. Even with a bit of concrete staining from the work, the float’s condition remained intact, showing minimal wear.In terms of performance, the DEKOR Grout Float is one of the best tools I’ve used. It's durable, easy to handle, and does exactly what it promises, whether I'm working on stucco, concrete, or even grout. I’m always impressed by how well the tool handles, especially given how much use it’s seen. For anyone looking for a reliable float for both DIY and professional projects, I highly recommend this one. It’s versatile, easy to clean, and does a fantastic job of creating smooth, even surfaces for whatever work you’re tackling.

I'm not a professional tile setter. I got this for doing tile on my own house remodel. But I ended up using a professional that I know from working on the same jobs. I had him look it over.He said it's much bigger than he would use. It's really for large square footage floors where you have a lot to cover. But it seems to be pretty good.

I just had my shower wall tiled. I hired a handyman and asked him to use this grout float and tell me what he thought. It worked well for him. It was soft enough to bend a little while moving the grout around but firm enough o really push the grout into the groves. He also said that it is bigger than the one he uses. Since the tiles were 12" x 24" it worked just fine. He said it is probably too big for small tiles or to use in tight spaces; such as the back splash in a kitchen. All in all it worked good and he gave it a thumbs up.

I do a lot of regrouts, and my main float is a hard polypro material. Blades off grout well on flat tile, but it's really heavy and not ideal for textured tile. This float here is hands down my favorite new tile equipment pickup in probably a year. It is impossibly light - some kind of foam material for the float surface and seemingly the handle assembly. The handle is still perfectly firm to work with. The float surface material extends beyond the plastic frame just the right amount. It keeps enough force behind an angled push to work the grout in a line, with enough flex to clear off textured tile SO INCREDIBLY WELL. It absolutely saved my rear end on my last kitchen floor nightmare job.I look forward to trying it on some smooth tile as well. There are probably times where I'll still prefer a bit stiffer of a float, but I can see myself using this one on any job I can. I cannot overstate how great it felt despite weighing practically nothing. There will always be one of these in the truck now.
