My old speakers only worked partly and these were so easy to plug in and my sound is good again. i have a Dell Desktop tower by the way. so liked to be able to get Dell speakers that were compatible.

Very disappointed with this product. When I received it, I was missing one of the plug-ins which would be for the iPhone. It was never sent to me when I sent them an email and they responded. It worked great with the iPad but then the piece that goes into the iPad came apart and could not be repaired. I was going to buy another one and I thought no I’m not going to do it.

These are okay but I have to lay one down on its side to access the volume control knob that is recessed. I wish it was a protruding knob on the bottom of the speaker instead. There is no knob to turn the volume up or down--have to push a small plate around.

What a wonderful sound ! The speakers are handy,good looking and great musical experience. Though the parcel is a little late,it reached in good packing condition. Though there was heavy rain and knee deep water that day,the courier boy delivered it with utmost commitment. Price is very very reasonable.

It worked fine, once I found the secret control. There is a little disc on top of one of the speakers that functions as an on/off switch and volume control, but it is neatly recessed, everything (including the two tiny dots) is black and there is NOTHING obvious to lead one to find it. I spent three frustrating days wondering why my system had no sound before I finally examined these in detail and found the switch. Cool design can be nice, but there is nothing particularly cool about the design of these speakers in general -- and they will mostly sit at the back of a desk, as they do on mine -- so why not put a simple and obvious volume switch on the front of one or even underneath? These designers flunk

These work great and are a great value. It's a good sound quality for computer speakers, especially for the price. My monitors did not come with speakers built in so these are replacing the awful speaker that is built into the computer. My only complaint is that I have spread them as far apart as the cords will allow to provide separation of the left and right channel and the cords actually spring them back to the center because they are so light weight. There is no rubber on the bottom so they slip very easily on the smooth desk top and the cords are folded over each other into a Z shape instead of rolled so they get dragged back to where they are plugged into the computer until there is no spring left in the cord. I'm amazed how springy they are.

Needed a set of speakers to use with a laptop, was not looking for anything super high end but better than what was built-in. These are good quality speakers and good value for the money. They do require you plug in the audio out and also the USB to power the speakers. This is a positive in that from what I have had in the past it is easier to carry around and more functional (not tied to where you can plug speakers into the wall) than a traditional wall powered speaker. A fully USB speaker set would have been a step up from these but for the price and quality of speakers I think this was a reasonable compromise. These are not really intended to be highly portable speakers so having the extra cord is not really a major concern in my opinion.

I am very pleased with this set ofI am very pleased with this set of Dell speakers. I have had a set of my own for over a year. The sound is loud and clear. No need to turn the volume up on either your computer or the speakers. I have not had any problem what so ever with this set of Dell speakers. I have used these speakers with an old Acer Laptop, a Dell Laptop and presently with a five month new HP Laptop. These speakers are made for USB 3.0 but work well on USB 2.0 ports. These speakers are well built. I have not had any type of wiring problem. I have had other speakers that had problems with internal wire connections. The set I recently puchased is for a friend. THe Description on AMazon is not accuract. The size and weight are incorrct.
