I really liked this laptop while it worked, but within three months it stopped working. When plugged in the power indicators come on, the keyboard occasionally flashes, but the screen never comes on.

I received and set up this laptop on August 16, and have found no major issues with it. It arrived in good physical condition, and I've experienced little to no amounts of glitching and slow loading. All my Google account data transferred smoothly, and it was fairly easy to set up (I will say there was quite a bit of loading time during the final part of set up, so I'd recommend ordering in advance of needed use just in case there's any minor mishaps). I've had an average of eight tabs open since starting to use this laptop and see no noticeable changes or delays. I only use this laptop at home, so I don't have much knowledge on the battery life or portability, since it's often plugged in on a table when I use it. I've run Untitled Goose Game, Minecraft, Moshi Monsters Rewritten, and Roblox (all without mods or add-ons), as well as multiple browser games while having 7-12 chrome tabs open and was able to comfortably use all game functions without any noticeable delay. A few of the number and letter keys on the top left of the keyboard will occasionally take multiple presses to work, or put two of the character instead of one, but not often or severely enough for it to badly affect my experience. Overall, I find this laptop excellent for casual/personal use, but I haven't tried high performance games, and wouldn't recommend this laptop for gaming use due to the CPU. The games that I listed above worked fine, but games with higher graphics and more complicated gameplay to process would not work well on this laptop, and I would recommend getting a laptop with an H CPU (better for high performance) rather than the U CPU that this laptop has (better for conserving battery life)

The laptop has tons of features that I will probably not use. It showed up perfectly packaged, and like brand new. I was really impressed as to how it looked and tried my best to find something wrong with it. I spent one whole day putting it through every test I could think, and could not find anything wrong besides maybe the battery life. With that said the battery may or may not be an issue. I have never owned a laptop, so I don't know what to judge on. I have checked the battery and it says health is OK, but acts like it has issues. I will continue to check, but after several charges, and many uses the battery does seem to be an issue. However, a new battery seems to only be $100, and not hard to change. So, this will not be a game changer. If I have to change the battery, I will still be absolutely happy with this purchase. The laptop is great, and even with a battery change, I won't be anywhere near the cost of what this laptop sells for new. Not to mention, I thought this would be a 2022 laptop, and a 2023 is what i received. So, if I have to install a battery, so what. It may take 20 minutes to install new battery, and have a great laptop.

El equipo llego muy bien empaquetado con un checklist de lo revisado antes de empacarla, al momento funciona muy rápido y bien , la bateria le dura hasta 3 días trabajando en intervalos de 4-5 horas cada día, muy contento, es la tercera computadora que compro y todo excelente, inmediatamente después de prender y configurar me indica que puedo actualizar a windows 11, por lo que la actualizo antes de meter más cosas, perfectamente se actualizo y esta funcionando perfecto! Teclado retroiluminado y en ingles, le cambie idioma a español y con un teclado bluetooth, sin ningun problema. Definitivamente volveria a comprar.

I have been using computers from a long time, from 2004. So, trust this review.This laptop with an i5-8350-u is perfect for running Microsoft Office, Productivity softwares. Very casual and light gaming will work too.Somehow, I was able to run extreme settings at Asphalt 8 and it ran (Taking a guess) at close to or at 60 FPS. This by far is very surprising to me.Well, as for the build quiality 5/5. Battery life 5/5. Screen 5/5, as its full HD and has no defects. No dead pixels or anything like that.I had an initial problem with my first purchase, where the battery was not defective, but, after talking to the seller ComputerDealsUSA, I was able to get a replacement immediately. Will recommend this seller too.The end: Buy this Latitude 7490 with 16 Gigs of Ram and I5-8350-U from ComputerDealsUSA!EDIT: AFter 6 months: The battery is still 7-8 hours long, and is around 50 mwh left out of 60mwh. This laptop is so 5/5 ! And sunsatinable and eco friendly too!

Rapidísima, no trae ningún arañazo ni nada por el estilo, la batería apenas la voy a probar su rendimiento. Las aplicaciones las abre al instante. Lo único es que por venir de Estados Unidos trae el teclado en inglés, pero la requiero para tareas donde no necesito escribir textos en español regularmente, así que es una desventaja mínima. Para estos casos siempre podré cambiar la disposición de teclas al español latinoamericano. 16 GB de RAM que sí se siente, 256 GB SSD en NVME muy rápida, pantalla de 14" Full HD. Otro detalle mínimo es que por el tamaño no trae teclado numérico, sin embargo también se puede activar si fuera requerido al editar una hoja de cálculo, el cual quedaria sobre las teclas 7,8,9, U, O, J, K L y M. Me gustó mucho, sin duda compraría otra.

TL;DR: I have been very impressed with the refurb Dell 7490s and would definitely consider more refurbed laptops from Amazon based on these. Definitely worth the money, in my opinion.The Full Review:This is the third Dell 7490 refurb we have purchased through Amazon. The first was basically in "like new" condition - virtually perfect condition - and led me to decide to buy one for myself as well to use as a second laptop for only work purposes. (The first was for my SIL.) The second ordered laptop was also in very good condition visually, but the battery was shot (way under the 80% guarantee - with 45 minutes of battery life, roughly), and the left touch pad button didn't worry consistently - so we returned that one and they refunded it without issue. The third one, mine, the one I am typing this review on, is a little more visually "used", and came a bit "dusty", and has way more dings and scratches than the first two [see pictures] - and the first two had the original chargers while this one came with a third party aftermarket charger (the listing did say that was a possibility, so not biggie there - it works) - all that said, the screen had no dead pixels and looks good, the battery is good [getting between 7.5 and 8.5 hours of battery life], the RAM and hardware passed all diagnostics, the ports all work, the speakers are good, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth work, the keyboard and touchpad all work great (really like the keyboard on these laptops), and this third one came with the fingerprint reader too (the other two did not have that option). The OS (Windows 10) also came in the new install state without anything extra installed in "factory fresh" status and easily updated to Windows 11. Performance is great and responsive for all my daily uses, so far. I would likely buy another if needed, and would recommend them to someone else who needed a laptop for under $250 USD. So, if you need a very solid business class laptop for very little money, these refurb Dell 7490s are worth a look for sure.Note: The scratches on the display are not really visible under regular use with the screen on - the picture probably makes it look worse than it really is in day to day use - Just to be fair - but wanted to show condition as best as possible.
