I am an engineer and my father is a plumbing contractor so I have some knowledge in this area. I scoured the web, and Amazon, fir a new aerator because the plastic insert in mine disintegrated. I would gladly buy just the insert but settled for the entire assembly with this product. Unfortunately , despite the effort, it was off by a few millimeters and did not fit so I am sending it back. Note to Moen: you make great faucets but it should not be this difficult to replace the aerator insert.
