Wow what a difference this made to my side mount sprayer performance! The original diverter went bad sloooooowly. I replaced a Danco spray head, thinking that was the problem, with little improvement. Then I dropped coin on an all-metal spray head and new hose assembly only to get even less spray pressure. At the time I gave no consideration to a diverter failure.A few days ago the spray head totally stopped functioning. Full flow from the faucet, none from the spray head. OK, that's got to be the diverter... and it was. 2 minutes, an allen wrench and a pair of needle-nose pliers to dig out the faulty diverter seal... press the new one in and.... viola! full and high pressure flow from the spray head.

Fit our 30 year old Delta Faucet and fixed the problem of the original one getting stuck and not allowing the faucet to flow water with the sprayer off.

Old Delta Kitchen faucet was not sending pressure to sprayer. Replaced the old diverter and problem was resolved.

As a few others have said, this did not want to fit it our 1998 faucet. The old one came out easy and sure enough this one did not want to fit. I tried to sand and file it, but didn't seem to be getting anywhere. So I wondered if I could press it in. So I started it and took the edge of the file I was using and put it on the high points of the valve and pushed real hard and sure enough it snapped in and bottomed. Put it all back together and now when we use the sprayer, not one drop comes out of the faucet. So the valve works great to the the around 50/50 flow we were getting on the sprayer before.

Due to our '2002' Delta Foundations (from Lowe's) faucet leaking around the handle, I went to Lowe's and purchased a replacement kit with springs, seals, and ball and was able to fix that issue. Once I completed the repair I noticed water still ran from the spout when using the sprayer. Lowe's didn't carry this part (Faucet diverter) in our local store, so I ordered this one and it did the trick.I used needle-nose pliers to remove the old one which was chipped up and worn on the front. Put a tiny bit of waterproof grease on the rubber end of the new one and it pushed in/snapped right into place. Faucet and sprayer now work 100%.Better than replacing the whole faucet!

My Delta kitchen faucet is about 20 years old. I like this faucet. It's been a great performer, but has been leaking lately. Using parts information from Delta, I ordered all new OEM replacements for all the parts that can be replaced--O-rings, springs, etc. Everything fit great--until I reached the diverter assembly. I noted the old diverter, although broken, fit perfectly in its cubbyhole, which is what's supposed to happen. However, the new diverter--Part No. 63136--would not go in. I tried every imaginable variation of grasping, rotating, and pushing but it refused to seat. As a reality check I tried to put the old diverter back in--no problem. I checked with Delta customer support and they said the new part just pushes in. So I'm wondering why I can't do something that simple. Only it wasn't that simple. After another hour of trying and failing to get it to fit, I had the idea that a new part could be out of spec for a faucet as old as mine. So I did a little research and found that Delta Part No. RP63136 is according to the manufacturer an "exact replacement" for Part No. RP320. On a hunch I found a new old-stock RP320 and tried it. It went in easily. is a perfect fit, and works flawlessly. Delta makes a very good product, but even the best of us goofs once in a while.

We were having a problem with our kitchen faucet. It would knock randomly. The pressure on the sprayer was low. When we used the sprayer, the faucet would hoot and whistle and the sprayer would occasionally cut out if the faucet wasn't turned up high enough. We replace the diverter valve with this one. The faucet has been working great ever since. The noises in the faucet stopped. The pressure on the sprayer is back to what we expect. We can set a low flow rate on the faucet and get a gentle spray from the sprayer. We open the faucet to full and get a high-pressure spray from the sprayer. Basically, our faucet and sprayer work as designed again. That's all we wanted. This worked for us.

The white nylon piece need to be sanded or scraped to fit. It is a manufacturing defect that the outside diameter is larger then the hole it is supposed to fit.

The nozzle spray heat was working poorly. Low pressure and incomplete switch of flow from the faucet to the sprayer. This is the culprit. New one fit perfectly. Search Delta's web site where you'll find simple diagrams showing what repair parts you need.
