I took a chance on this Amazon resale item. I encountered difficulty attaching one end of the hose. After further inspection, I observed the end of the hose to have an oblong threaded nut. There isn't any evidence of the nut being crushed or damaged at one point. There wasn't any damage to the package, so the product must have been damaged before it was shipped. Using a pair of Channellock pliers, I carefully corrected the shape of the threaded nut. With the reshaped nut, I was able to successfully attach the hose. It appears to be functioning correctly. I believe that either this item should not have been sold at all or at a lower price, the item's price does not appear to reflect its value or features.

After 10 years my Delta shower faucet hose started leaking. I checked out lots of reviews and decided to go with Delta, who made the fixture. It took a few minutes to remove the old one and probably the same length of time to put the new one on. While it did have gaskets, unfortunately it didn't come with any "plumbers tape". and without any it leaked a little on the wall side! I thought I had some in the workshop but I didn't, so I ran down to Lowe's and picked up a small roll for $4.50. That resolved the issue and now I have some the next time I need to do a plumbing repair. It would be great if delta included a 2" piece of tape just for this reason. I've been using the new hose for about 10 days and so far no issues at all.

My hose that was more than 10 years old, just gave suddenly, all the water started to leak out never reaching the shower head. The hoses seem to be standard, as long as the 2 ends match the ones you have, the hose will be o.k. we replaced it without the plumber and the problem is gone.

I got this to replace. Another hose from my shower that has lasted about 5 years, but finally gave out. Overall this host seems to be pretty good quality. The only reason for deducting one star is because the couplers on it are slightly too big to fit into. The slide bar holder which allows? The shower nozzle to be raised higher and lower for my kids. If it was maybe a 1/8" smaller diameter, it would have fit Perfect. As it is, it sometimes falls out sometimes and heavy as my shower head is, it makes a huge crash when it lands.

It was with much angst and trepidation that I finally admitted it was time for a new hose for my shower head. And it took my bravery on my part to research and order the appropriate part. Voila! I did it! Why it took so long to bite the bullet is a question for another time. Believe me, however, when I tell you ANYONE can do this. It took practically zero time to order, less than two days to receive and installation was one handed and a complete success. What unadulterated joy to stand under the shower and feel the full benefits of my lovely Delta shower head now that half the water was no longer flowing down the wall but hitting me with a terrific and way too long missed pressure.Some said in reviews the hose was stiff. This is not stiff.Don't be intimidated. Don't wonder if you have to hire someone to do it. You CAN do it. It was easy, painless and in the end, wonderful!

I need a little longer hose for my hand held sprayer. This one by Delta is perfect! 69" long and is as flexible as any I have had. The hose is metal covered with a metal connector and a washer to the diverter valve. The other end is metal with a washer that connects to the hand held sprayer. I used pipe tape at the connection at the diverter. Very nice hose. It goes great with the Delta 3 position diverter valve and the hand held sprayer.

I have a Delta hand-held shower fixture in my shower (model 51704). The fixture is eight years old and the connector hose that came with it started to come apart. The hose turned out not to be metal as I thought but was a vinyl hose covered with a plastic coil wrap that looked like metal but wasn't.This replacement hose is the same length as the original (69") and I like it a lot better than the original. I should have replaced it years ago and made my life easier. This replacement hose is completely made out of metal (stainless steel) and is more flexible than the original hose. The connector ends fit the hand-held shower and the shower head perfectly. Technically, you're supposed to put Teflon tape on the screw head to prevent leaks but I just screwed this on and it's fine. There weren't any leaks even without the tape.Also, I have a brushed nickel finish on my hand held shower. This is listed as being a chrome/stainless steel for the color but when I'm looking at it in my shower, the difference in finishes is so negligible. I really can't see a difference and it matches fine.
