padding is relatively thick and protects the mandolin from minor bumps. while it’s not professional or luxury, it’s a good product for the price :)

This case is very well-padded, has adequate storage pockets, and seems sturdy.I will say, it fits my A-type mandolin fairly snugly.

For the money and the fact that I have a relatively cheap mandolin this is a great case. The padding is decent and the zippered pocket has enough room for various accessories. Not sure yet how long it will last but my instruments rarely leave the home so it may never be an issue.

I know this is a $20 case, but I am a little disappointed. The bag we received looks as though it might have been used. The inside lining is basically a thin nylon similar to an umbrella and is picked/punctured in a few spots. The item is also not as pictured. The example picture shows an exterior type pouch with a zipper that looks as if it might expand out a bit. What we received is merely a slash style zippered pocket in the outer cover. There is no contrasting or reflective strip on it. The zipper was also broken/untracked when we took it out of the bag. A few zips back and forth seems as if it might have corrected that, but unzipped a few of the teeth look misshapen. I don't have confidence in the zipper holding up under any strain at all.The product description stated "Carrying handle and Shoulder Strap and Backpack Straps." The one we received has a carrying handle and backpack-style straps, but no separate shoulder strap. The backpack style straps are fairly short even when extended fully. This is going to cause the headstock of the mandolin to hit its carrier in the back of the head. The straps made of a lightweight web strapping about 1.5 inches wide.The description also stated "Fully lined with 1/2" foam padding." The padding is a very soft foam, not very dense at all. It does not seem to be a full 1/2 inch of foam padding. The entire exterior thickness including the outer fabric, foam padding and the interior lining MAY, emphasis MAY, be 1/2 inch, but that would be pushing it.The case is lightweight and cheap. Cheap in this case referring to the quality as well as the price. Even at $20, I am not certain this is a good value. Perhaps we were sent a different one than the other previous 5 reviews. I will try and post some pictures later.

This bad is pretty well padded for the price. It fits my epi A style mandolin well. Good to protect a cheaper Mandolin.

This bag is exactly what you pay for. I was a little cautious buying this knowing it had no ratings or reviews, but I took a chance and am very pleased. It fits my A-style mandolin perfectly and even has a little zipper pouch on the front for carrying my external pickup/picks/tuner/spare strings. The handle works well and there are two little straps on the back to carry like a backpack. This is your standard soft case with no bells and whistles, but it gets the job done at half the price of the competition. 5*
