This is an awesome kit with everything you need to repair, wax, and tune your snowboard/skis perfectly! I highly recommend this kit, the iron works great and I used the ptex to repair my board and it worked fabulously!

Does the job for a good wax/basic repairs and it can all easily fit in the bag. Recommend buying a nylon brush, edge tuner, and a lighter for the ptex since it doesn't come with it. Still a great deal for $80!

I would like to start off by saying the first review of this product by “halfNhalf” is inaccurate and miss leading. Maybe that review was true in 2017 when it was written.It is not true now.Now for my review. It’s a nice kit. The iron is just as large as a non travel kit iron and is rectangular with soft edges. The bottom has recessed dimples as well. Other than that it’s just a basic kit, what you see is what you get. Can’t really ask for more.

Great little kit. Everything you need to tune skis or snowboards. Iron got hot fast and heldnits temp. Files and scrapers were sturdy and did the job .

Excellent compact ski/snowboard tuning kit. Light enough to travel with for tuning your friends' gear. Only things missing were a brush and a metal scraper for the P-tex. The iron heats quickly and is variable speed.Note: Kit does not include wax so remember to buy some.

I snowboard, but I travel a lot, and sometimes to warmer states which makes it hard to go get my board waxed before the season starts. This kit was perfect, although it doesn't actually come with the main component... the wax... Just buy that separate, watch a couple YouTube videos about self waxing and sharpening your edges and you will be able to do it all with this kit.

Maybe I expected too much hoping the iron would melt Ptex. The kit is good - wish it included wax.

This tuning kit has been with me out west twice already and put through countless tuning nights with friends. When you have the equipment you can quickly become the "tuning guy" the night it starts dumping snow in the mountains. This kit and case has been able to carry everything needed for my tunes and even had enough room to carry enough wax to do 5 sets of skis and 6 snowboards in one night. We had a production line going edges, ptex, wax, rest, scrape, buff and POWPOW. If you are looking for a kit that has it all you've found it in a nice little package. Yes, the iron is smaller but it's big enough to get the job done right and convenient enough to always have with you!
