I got it to mimic a custom mouthpiece I sold some years ago. I wanted a deep, funnel-shaped cup, a wide rim opening, and a narrow rim. I would have preferred a flatter rim for greater accuracy, but this rounded rim makes for smoother slurs. Very nicely turned out.

This mouthpiece is quite large, but produces a big sound. You will NOT have a great high register until you are thoroughly used to it. 18mm cup widths are becoming popular because of the comfort and flexibility, but you can't run from the enormous amount of work and practice to make it practical to use.
