The large 'cup' on these jaws make it such that it's genuinely difficult to drop a wisdom tooth once you grab hold of it. Extremely useful for sedation cases where you do not want to drop anything ever.

I've used hundreds of different forceps for extractions. Anyone that has used as many can easily tell if one is good or if it's a pain to use and live with. It's very easy for me to tell that this forcep is excellent. The machining work on it is very very good. The serrations on the tip are well defined. Best of all, it's not sticky to open/close at all. It freely moves with no play in the joint.If you're looking for an upper wisdom tooth forcep, this is close to the perfect forcep. It has a wider beak with a cupping action when you grab the tooth so it doesn't fall. It's not so hot for premolars or anterior. To make it better, an even wider cupping area of the jaws and more jagged toothing to the jaws would be nice to see.
