Drain plug would not seat, threads in pan were not square. Obvious manufacturing defect. Cheap China work with no QC.My problem is that I bought it a year ago and just tried to install it this week. So it is my problem, looks like a target to me.

Ease of installation and well made seems to aid in cooling significantly

So far, so good, it does lower the temp a few degrees plus it adds a few more quarts of oil to the system. Only issues I had:- Gasket that comes with the pan is a little cheap. Even when I torqued mine to the proper torque, it stated to leak. Re-used the original gasket, problem solved- Drain plug washer also stated to leak, replaced the washer with a brass one, no more leaking

Great product! The quality is better than stock. Nice finish. Install was easy. The included gasket has no leaks. If you're looking to keep your transmission cooler, this is a great product with a good price.

I ordered this for my 06 Dodge 3500 with 48re. I like the design of the pan, but the manufacturing leaves something to be desired. I have experienced two major issues with pan currently. The first is the cheap gasket that was sent with the pan. It was a felt gasket that fell apart with in minutes of being installed once it came into contact with the ATF4+ that I used per factory spec. It leaked horribly. The second issue that I have the biggest issue with was the manufacturing quality. It was sub-par at best. There driver side front of the pan was bent from the mounting holes that were punched at the factory. I ended up having to the take the hammer and dolly to it to get it to flatten out so I could attempt to seal it with a gasket that did not need to be inches thick. I should not have to correct something that should have been at the factory.I was hoping for more from this, but have been disappointed thus far. Don't know that I can recommend this pan at this point. Hopefully mine is an anomaly.

I was told they would leak ect. I have a ton of $ invested in the trany and this pan added to the overall package very well. Its simple design with small bar to keep things out of the tubes was a welcome thought. This design works well for street use, prob not a good setup for mud or off road rigs. I have had zero problems or leaking from this pan, I would build using another one with out worry!

Solid construction, good fit, easy to install if you have basic automotive mechanical skills. Quality product. However I have seen no difference in transmission temperature. The increased capacity and cooling tubes do not appear to make any difference in transmission temp for my vehicle at all.

Placed on a rebuilt transmission after installing the transmission so that no damage would occur to pan.Air cooling tubes go all the way through the pan near the bottom and are parallel with direction of travel.Pan holds about 4 quarts more transmission fluid. Placed 19 quarts of oil in transfer case and transmission to bring level to middle of safe in neutral.First test run was for 10 miles with 2 hills. Last hill was 1 mile at more than 5% grade. Oil temp never got to 150 F.Have not towed a heavy load, but it appears this pan with the added cooling and extra capacity should go a long way on preserving the useful life of the vehicle's transmission. It has been at least 30 years since I have owned a vehicle that had a drain plug on transmission, except for larger trucks with manual transmissions.Very well pleased with this item.
