- Handmade by David the Shepherd from 550lb quality paracord and leather - Approximately 54" long (27" long from end of loop to pouch) - Can throw marshmallows, small rocks, and golf balls - Leather Pouch 4" long by 2.75" wide David the Shepherd performs every night before performances of the Great Passion Play in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Having an actual sling in hand provides an excellent tool to teach the story of David and Goliath, weaponry in ancient history, or developing a great hobby. I make all of these myself by hand. Slinging is a very enjoyable pastime. These paracord slings are very fun to throw with and make a cool whipping sound during the throw. For starters, I recommend people throwing with marshmallows. You wouldn’t believe how far you can make a marshmallow fly. I’ve thrown one with one of these slings over 40 yards!! Take care and happy slinging! David

This works well and would make a good first sling for anyone wanting to learn.

I got this for a single digit son but I also couldn't resist and got one for myself as well. We don't have a good source of round rocks so we have been practicing with rubber golf balls, which are a perfect size. This has been a lot of fun.

I forgot to let go and smacked my booty with the rock I had in the pouch hahaha. Second throw and on were in the direction I was aiming. Surprisingly intuitive! I threw my back out yesterday working out and I was sore when I was playing with this, but I could tell even from my lack of really using any power, these rocks were smacking trees pretty hard. Just dont go to crazy with the rock size because it could slip out if you go too much bigger than the pouch, but youll figure it out! Its a lot of fun!

The construction is durable and the way the leather is attached gives a nice pocket. It was a bit long for me and my arm span but I think they made it extra long so you can shorten it to your preference. After a little practice I'm able to throw rocks hard enough to make them buzz like a bullet in the air and my accuracy is usually within like 10 feet of my target. Won't put food on my table with it yet but with practice it will!

I've wanted a Shepherd's Sling (aka: David Sling) for a long time. I tried to make them myself but innate lack of the crafting gene caused my efforts to be fruitless. Ordered this from David the Shepherd. Arrived very quickly and is just too much fun to work with. I'm not very accurate yet but that's me, not the sling. Can sling everything from pebbles to golf balls to tennis balls - very versatile.

Good quality, as appears in photo. Gave it to our 9 year old with the book David and Goliath. He was doubtful he'd get the hang of it, but did so immediately. We all enjoy hurling marshmallows with it. Still need some work on aim, though. I would recommend this.

Bought both the full paracord sling and the one with the smaller leather pouch. The leather pouch has been far easier to use and build accuracy with. The paracord pouch, while more durable, requires a significantly larger Stone as the pouch closes up around your projectile. The leather pouch has a cleaner release and I'm enjoying it far more. Both are quality slings.
