This brush looks like NASA designed it for de-shedding intergalactic space cats. It is sleek, high-tech, and comes in a case that is so classy that it should have its own security detail. But let me be honest: my cats *did not* care about any of that. They saw it, they ran. One gave me a look that said *“Touch me with that thing and you’re sleeping with one eye open.”*Still, we persisted. Bribes were distributed. The mission: Operation FURpocalypse. This grooming tool makes brushing our long-haired cats far more efficient. It removes loose fur fast—one cat who usually resists brushing now tolerates it long enough to get the job done without the usual standoff. That alone makes this brush worth serious consideration. We’ve also tested it on our short-haired petite cats. It pulls some fur from them, though the brush is a bit too wide and the combs too large to work comfortably on smaller cats. A narrower version would be ideal for kittens or petite adults. The build quality is impressive. The carbon fiber edges feel sturdy, and based on experience with 3D printing materials, they should last a long time. It comes in a heavy-duty case that feels like it’s protecting a precision tool. For the price, that’s expected—but we’d also expect a product like this to last for years and ideally come with a warranty to match. It’s not perfect—it’s big, and a little intimidating for smaller cats. And at this price, I halfway expected it to come with a live-in groomer named Pierre. But it works. It works well. And in a world where 87% of my day involves vacuuming fur, that’s a miracle. The four carbon fiber edges are oddly satisfying to use. It’s not sharp, not scary—it’s like the Batman of grooming tools. I even tried it on my short-haired crew. It didn’t pull as much, but it snagged loose hairs like an ambitious lint roller. So yeah: Get it. Use it. Then stand back and marvel at the fuzzy tumbleweed it creates. And maybe knit yourself a sweater. Or another new cat. 😉Bottom line: This brush is very effective on large, long-haired cats. It’s overbuilt for smaller cats, but it still works. If you have a household with multiple coat types, you’ll likely still reach for this regularly, especially when shedding season hits full swing.

I'm really on the fence with this one. It's a very expensive "brush" and not many will be willing to spend that. Yes, it's high quality. It comes with a very nice carrying case and the brush itself is no joke - well made and somewhat intimidating to behold. It's much, MUCH larger than any of my other brushes and feels a bit clunky to use on small cats. My cats are on the smaller side at 9-10lbs each and they ran for the hills when I approached them with this behemoth. After some coaxing, and more treats than they should ever have, I was able to give this brush a good workout. One of my girls absolutely loves being brushed and will bully any other who tries to steal her thunder, but did she love this? Not really. This was purely a business transaction for treats. Does it work? I had varying results. I have cats with all fur types and tried it on each. On fine/long/light fur coats this didn't pull much up. Perhaps the fur is too fine for the combs to grab? On thick/long/dense fur coats I pulled off enough fur to form a whole other animal. On medium wire coats it did fairly well, but sent fur flying rather than holding it all in the comb (to be fair - this happens with any brush). For giggles, I also tried this on a medium dense coat 100lb dog and had good results. Using it on a much larger animal made the brush feel more natural to use as there was so much more space to utilize. I'd say this is better for larger pets, even Main Coons, but not so much on smaller cats. It's just too big and bulky. None of my cats enjoyed it. The dog couldn't care less. Would I rush out to buy this again? No. Good for small cats? Eh. Would I recommend it for larger pets? Sure.
