A mix of lightweight, flexible materials are included to form a reflective barrier against excess heat. Use the thicker dimpled Floor and Tunnel material around direct heat sources like the exhaust, and the thinner Reflect-A-Cool sheet to shield against radiant heat from the engine. Great for use on fairings, air boxes, seat pans, rear fenders, etc. Installation is easy, all materials included can be cut to shape using scissors and form fitted to irregular shapes.

So I have a 2004 CBR1000RR with full Akrapovic Evolution Ti exhaust and that thing runs super hot and no matter what I tried, one side of the fairing (left) was touching the exhaust directly. Obviously I did not realise this until I went for a run and noticed the fairings melted right away 😡I had to find something that works, saw a video about DEI heatshields and thought I'd give it a try. Glad to say it worked as advertised. I first laid a layer of reflective tape and on top of that Floor and Tunnel II. The exhaust touches the shielding but it didn't burn and no melting. Super happy 👍👍👍

After fitting the first piece for the application I used it for I instantly realized how perfectly form-fit it was going to install.

I had a hard time finding some decent heat shield to protect my Corbin side bags. I wanted self adhesive and some aluminum tape as well. This packet fit what I wanted. It's hard to cut but thats a good thing. Side snips did the job. As you can see it does a good job of protecting the bottom of the bag from the pipes. Road all day in 90-100 degree weather and the bottom of the bags stayed cool.I tried using the shield on the bottom of the seat but not sure its helping much. Worth a try though :-)I highly recommend this product! Specially for the bottom of your side bags!!

I use it for the intake manifold and as a shield to keep my air filter housing cool and it work
