I installed this wrap on my Harley because the pipes were just so hot, especially in the summer. Its easy to install if you read the instructions. Doesn't take that long either. You can burn the smoke off in about 20 minutes. The finished product looked SO good I decided to just leave it that way - see picture. HOWEVER, after riding for about 10 minutes and almost burning my leg off I decided to put my heat shields back on, lol.Now I have the wrap under the shields and it does help to tone down the heat a bit but not much. This wrap is mostly for cosmetic purposes. Comes with everything you need but probably you will want to use regular clamps you can get at Canadian Tire instead of the metal tie straps. They are hard to put on and not very tight. I also ordered an extra roll of wrap and I needed it.

I used this on a Harley-Davidson Dana Wide Glide with Vance & Hines 2 into 2 Big radius pipe. I had enough of each roll to wrap the pipes from where the header heat shield and the muffler heat connect all the way to the head. I was able to overlap the wrap about 1/2 way instead of the 1/4 overlap they wanted. I felt that the more overlap would provide more heat protection. I have rode about 300 miles with this on my exhaust and I have noticed a reduction in the heat coming off my pipes. They do smoke for about 100 miles and then they still smell a little after 300 miles, but I love the look they added to my bike.Installing:First off if you can remove your pipes, I recommend doing so. I however did not and it made it a little challenging to paint the pipes afterwards, but with a lot of plastic and tape I got it done.1. PUT ON Rubber gloves (this helps with the Fiberglass itch and the black dye that will bleed if you wet the wrap) also put down something to catch the excess water run off. It will turn your drive way or garage black for a few washes if not.2. Soak the wrap (highly recommend this). I used a bucket and I put each wrap in the bucket about 10 mins before I started to wrap the pipes3. Take your time and wrap them tightly starting at the end of the pipe and working forward. (end meaning where you want the wrap to go from). Use hose clamps(2 1/4" is what I used) instead of the metal strips they give you. I was not able to get them tight enough to hold and I know hose clamps will not loosen up on me.5. Secure the start point with one of your hose clamps and start wrapping the pipe working forward and use the recommended overlap6. secure the end with another hose clamp ( I used two, which should help reduce fraying)7. if you removed the pipes Paint them with the provided spray (2-3 coats); if not tape up and cover bike, then paint them (2-3 coats)

This item works well, The metal ties are a bit annoying. They do not grip as they should and they have a tendency to loosen when riding. The wrap is nice and fits well. I have knowdiced a bit of a stench when the pipes get hot even after 3 months that they have been on.

Good product, easy to use and apply. Two 15' wraps were provided. I had just enough to wrap the header pipes (dual pipes), which is all that I intended to wrap. If you plan on wrapping more, buy an extra wrap. Wet them prior to installation and wrap from the back of pipe to the cylinder. This makes is better for aerodynamics that will prevent the wrap from peeling back at high wind speeds. The metal zip ties are ok, but I'd recommend using radiator hose clamps at each end. It looks cooler too. The pipes will smoke and stink pretty bad when you first start the bike. This is normal for the first little bit. They will also smoke when they get wet at first. Totally normal and eventually goes away. Overall, I like them. They look super cool as long as you're going for the old school bobber/rat look. They give the bike a little more bottom end and a deeper rumble from the pipes (at least they do with my bike).I plan on using these again with my other bikes. Good product.

Went on great, very messy if you soak it, but it makes the final product much better looking. The spray is great, cause after it runs for a while, the wrap fades out and you can just spray the wrap and its back to a nice black. I will definitely be wrapping all my bikes from now on.Aside from the chinsy zip ties and the smoke this product is great. Do yourself a favor and get some screw clamps to secure the wrap. The zip ties just didn't get tight enough to make me feel confident hey were holding properly. The pipes will smoke for a couple days post wrap, while it cooks off impurities, nothing to worry about.Throw on some tunes, grab a beverage and get wrapping.

The two 15' exhaust wrap rolls were just enough to wrap my wife's Vance and Hines 2 into 2 Big Radius pipes (for a Sportster 48), and they look sweet! The wrap is actually gray/silver, your supposed to use the silicon spray to make it black but the wife prefers the gray/silver color so I didn't use the spray. I only used eight locking ties so I have several extras now, and the exhaust wrap is very secure. Decent instructions (no pics). Since we wrapped the pipes with the existing heat shields in place, can't comment on heat reduction, sorry. This kit definitely added an awesome custom look, we love it.

Good Stuff. I've got a Honda XR650L with oversize aftermarket headers. I thought I would have extra tape left over, but wound up (no pun intended) using almost all of what was in the kit. I covered everything from the cylinder block to the joint for the muffler section. Be sure to soak the tape before you apply it, and make your wraps tight. You will get dirty... a lot of dye comes out into the water, but the end result is still pretty black. The included silicone based paint is more than enough for the project and leaves a nice black finish. The stainless steel ties hold well. I tightened them up by wrapping the slack end around the tip of needle nose pliers, cut off the excess, then curled the cut end under itself. After a day of drying time for the tape, I was able to spray the coating. When running the bike for the first time with the wrapping in place, there was a good amount of smoke that came off. This cleared up after a few rides. I'm happy with the product. It looks good and makes burning holes in my pant cuffs less likely.
