I wanted a calculator for those times when I'm doing calculations and the numbers I need are on my phone. It's a hassle to have to switch back and forth between apps. I have a small pocket calculator but decided a larger size calculator would be easier.This is a good basic calculator. The display reads clearly and the buttons - while a bit wonky - push easily and do not stick. The number buttons are easy to read and for me, the others are as well. However, someone with poor eyesight might struggle because the background part is a light pink and button's specific function (+,÷,%, etc. ) is in white, so it's a light color on top of a light color.As far as sturdiness, I'd air on the side of caution in this department. The calculator is light weight and that's a result of the (on the cheaper side) plastic it's made of. But with a calculator this size, I think most people would have it on (or in) the desk, not tucked in a work or school bag. Then it's not so much an issue because stationary: yes but on the go / travel: no.

This calculator works as intended. It's responsive, with large, easy-to-identify buttons. I got this for my six-year-old, to help him learn arithmetic, and he loves it. It comes with a battery, although it only needs it if there's no light shining on the solar panel. It has 12 digits of precision.It isn't perfect, however. There are still obscure buttons whose purpose is not immediately clear. MU? MRC? How useful is a 00 button? And why is there a GT notice on the screen after a calculation? It doesn't come with a manual, so you have to guess. I'd greatly prefer it have only the most useful buttons to reduce confusion.Despite this, it's a good calculator at a good price.

11-8-23This is the perfect size for a desktop. I ordered it specifically for the tilt display this way you don't have to pick it up and tilt it to get the glare off the screen.I appreciate the larger buttons they're easier to find and feel when you're doing high speed calculations. They are fat finger free.It doesn't come with instructions, so if you're new to this type of calculator you'll have to search the internet for directions on what the characters mean and do. Although they do provide a picture in the listing of what the buttons are for.I'm using this for quick basic calculations at my desk, that way I don't have to hunt one down or fiddle with my phone which is rarely convenient.Having a battery allows you to still use it under dim lighting, then solar if the battery dies and you are in decent lighting.It works, you don't have to tilt it up to read the display and the digits are large enough for those of us who have old eyes.I'll report back if something changes but for now it's a good value.Hopefully this was helpful, Thank you!

It’s inexpensive, but don’t waste your money. It literally started falling apart in a matter of days. Keys loosened up and seemed like they were ready to fall out. Other keys wouldn’t register when you pushed them. It's in the garbage now. Total junk.O
