THIS RACK AND PINION FAILED AFTER A YEAR. STARTED LEAKING POWER STEERING FLUID 10 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE. TRIED GETTING A WARRANTY REPLACEMENT AND WAS TOLD I HAD TO SEND IN MY OLD PART THAT WAS ORIGINALLY ON MY CAR, WHICH BY THE WAY WAS NEVER STATED WHEN PURCHASED THRU AMAZON. I WOULD AVOID DETROIT AXEL WHEN BUYING PARTS FOR YOUR CAR....TOTAL SCAM!!!

I bought a new rack and pinion from Detroit Axle comes with new inner tie rods I purchase outer tie rods in their inner tie rod broke good thing was in the parking lot not while I was driving so I didn't get into an accident never buy from them again

Listing proclaims to “warranty” product for life. I bought the rack & pinion assembly for my Chrysler 300. When the part failed I reached out for warranty service and was informed that I can get the part replaced under warranty BUT that I had to pay a fee. The so called “Lifetime Warranty” is false and misleading! BUYER BEWARE! DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING!

This item turned out to be defective and due to the covid situation by the time I had it installed on my vehicle my return window had closed so I was stuck with a defective partCalled Dertroit Axle and asked about returning and was told that customer service would get back with me. Several months later haven't heard a word. I'll never purchase anything with a Detroit axle brand on it again. Buyer beware.

I on a 2008 Dodge Charger, this is the easiest rack and pinion to put on:) Extremely straightforward! If you have a little bit of wrenching skills you should be able to do this on your own.Just watch a YouTube video or two to be sure You’re capable:)

Great part for the money well built install was pretty easy. Parts came quick and packaged very well. Make sure you return the old unit they provide free shipping back to their factory. I did get an alignment after install but I also changed out the upper & Lower control arms also purchased from Detroit Axle. In stall on 2007 Chrysler 300 Touring V6.
