Purchased this unit thinking it was a good deal. Installed and took for an alignment and the folks there when removing the boot to adjust the tie rod found it pouring out fluid from a freshly re-manufactured part. Full internal seal failure on both sides. Not only that, to get another unit will take days and repurchase “deposit” for the unit. Returning this piece of junk and purchasing locally, luckily I can install myself or I would be out more money than I already am. DON’T BUY!!!!Update: the return process is a huge hassle. Took weeks to finally get my refund which came in pieces after multiple emails and escalations. I can’t stress enough that this item should be avoided.

Fits and works like a dream from a nightmare. ***Have to purchase duck bill clips or rack and pinion seals (different stores, different names) therefore it wont leak. But other than that great price, fast delivery and quality part.

I don't see why people complain about this product. It came with everything it says in it's description. People crying about new lines that don't come with it in the first place. Or any instructions? If you don't know how to replace it maybe you shouldn't try. Let someone else do it. I've been buying from Detroit Axle for a long time. I've never had any issues with any product. They're one of the best affordable parts companies hands down.

Nice new rack but the duck bill seals, for the power steering lines did not come with the rack, went to my local advance store, and paid $47.45 because that's how they were sold, but I got $4.00 back from the supplier. Thanks

I just want to say that Detroit axle has some awesome customer service and if I am ever in need of anything they can help me with in the future than they will definitely be my first stop. As to the actual part, I don’t know anything about it but my bf was definitely very happy with the quality and the turn around between ordering and receiving the item was also greatly appreciated.

Recently had to replace the front differential on my '05 Trailblazer and, as a part of the process, I had to remove the steering rack. I decided, with how rusty the old on was, I might as well replace the rack while I had it out. This was an excellent fit for my Trailblazer and continues to work flawlessly.
