If you fill your carboy to the brim the lid won’t close due to lack of O2/space for the lid to suction. Don’t think it’s the lid rather you’ve overfilled. Hope this helps! Great buy!

Before purchasing, I read quite a bit of the reviews who state that these caps are difficult to remove. I was a little apprehensive about buying, but figured I would give it a shot. I use these on the New (unthreaded) Primo pre-filled water jugs from Walmart and they are TOO easy to remove. And Despite how gentle I drive, EVERY SINGLE TIME I have refilled a jug and used these caps, by the time I get home the cap has managed to pop off and there is water spilled in my car. Wouldn't recommend.

I bought these as I couldn't find any lids in stores that would fit our Primo 5 gallon bottles. These fit them perfectly. You do have to push a little to get them on, but once they're on, they create a tight seal. If we get more bottles in the future I will be buying more of these!

These were replacement caps for a couple 3-gallon water bottles we have in use. They are a soft rubber material, and reusable, and work better than the hard plastic caps that originally came with the bottles. I received these from the Seller after about 2 weeks and am totally satisfied with the purchase.

These fit very well on 2 different styled 4 gallon jugs that I have. They stay on tightly enough that I have not had any problems, even when getting them in and out of the car.

Stays on tight. When popping off the water sections out and splashes. Haha maybe that's a good thing .

These caps work perfectly for my 5 gal containers. I have no leaks or anything. I am refilling anywhere possible at this point due to the pandemic and these are so helpful during transit. Highly recommend!
