Four dedicated tool modes enable operation of the screwgun in Trigger Mode (High Speed), Trigger Mode (Low Speed), PushStart Mode, and Lock-On Mode. A top-mounted electronic mode select enables fast, one-handed switching between the tool's four modes. The DCK303P2's compact size and weight are designed to reduce fatigue during periods of extended usage, while its wide upper grip flange enables secure placement of thumb and forefinger.

This Dewalt drywall install kit is very nice and much better than I was hoping for. The screw gun has plenty of torque and I like that you can set it to turn on when you push down on the screw with the gun. That's so much better than listening to the constant whine of a corded screw gun. The impact driver is also great, I like the built in light feature that puts light right where you are working and the tool has great power. Additionally the cut out tool is light and easy to handle and much nicer in the hand then any corded drywall router I ever used in the past. All of this comes in a nice quality tool bag that is plenty big to fit all the tools as well as the batteries and charger. This is a very nice kit and a great addition to my construction tools.

This kit is a set of the high-quality tools you would expect from Dewalt. All of the tools are solidly built with great power and balance. The impact driver has a standard ¼ inch hex head for impact rated bits and nut drivers. None of those are included in the package so you will have to purchase those separately. If you’ve never owned or operated an impact driver, realize they are LOUD! You definitely need hearing protection when using this tool. The driver made quick work of removing some screws from reclaimed lumber. You also need to gain experience if using this to drive screws. The tool has so much power it’s easy to overdrive the screws and sink them deep in the target. The cut-out tool works great to cut through drywall as you would expect. As with the other tools, it’s well balanced and well thought out. The tool-less bit change is really nice. You press two buttons at the top of the tool and turn the top plastic housing to release the collet pressure and the bit slips out. Very convenient. The kit includes two bits for the cut-out tool. My only complaint while experimenting with these tools was that when I made a cut with this tool, there was a lot of drywall paper hanging on the cut sections of drywall. I don’t know if that was user error or a characteristic of the tool. I was using a brand new bit so I expected a cleaner cut. The drywall itself cut cleanly. It was just the paper facing that was messy. The drywall screwdriver is an amazing engineering marvel. There are so many thoughtful touches to the tool it’s hard to list them all. As the ad states, the driver has four different modes, slow trigger operated, fast trigger operated, push operated, and continuous on. I was just fascinated by the push operation. In this mode, you don’t even need to touch the trigger to drive a screw. You place the screw on the bit and press it against the work surface. That triggers the tool to turn on and drive the screw. As with all these tools, they are definitely professional level tools. Beginners and DIYers need to practice with them to learn just how quick and powerful they are. It would be easy to get hurt or damage your drywall if you don’t know what you’re doing with these things. These are incredible pro-quality tools. Unfortunately, I’m a DIYer and finished my one planned small drywall job. I can’t wait for the next one when I will get another opportunity to use these wonderful tools. These are my first Dewalt tools and now I know why all the construction guys who we’ve had work on our house use Dewalt tools. They are amazing.

I don't hang enough drywall to truely justify a set like this, but wow is it nice to use. The drywall screw gun is next level. I was stunned how fast it can set a screw, and the contact trigger is awesome. There are four modes to choose from. High, Low, Contact High, and Always on. High speed sets a 1-1/4" screw in the blink of an eye. Setting it to "Contact High" means you don't even have to hit the trigger, once you press it to the wall it starts, then shuts off when you pull away. The main body of the drill is designed to allow your hand to sit up higher, so that your middle finger is aligned with the trigger. At first I thought that was odd, but it works really well in use. It allows you to apply force inline with the screw, rather than offset below at the handle. The screw depth has an excellent range of adjustment for fine tuning, and the collar can be removed to expose the bit for changes. The magnet holding the bit is very strong and also able to hold the screw in place. The rotary saw is a nice clean way to cut drywall and I was surprised how quiet it is. Much nicer than a dremel or an oscilating tool. I think it's actually quieter than the screw gun, but it's hard to demonstrate that on camera. It has a keyless chuck, but it's quite awkward to use. Luckily they numbered the buttons that you have to press, but you also won't have to change out the blade too often anyway. The depth guide is helpful and can be set down to about 1/2", however it's shockingly flimsy and makes using the saw a bit difficult. Not an ideal solution, but it works. The impact driver is something I do have extensive experience with, and this is a great step up from my old 18V version. The power is noticeably stronger and the light can be turned on without holding the trigger at a feather depth. My favorite feature, although relatively minor, is that you can install a bit by simply pushing it into the chuck. You only have to pull the collar if you want to remove a bit. I havne't encountered that before, and is a nice addition. This must be true for all brushless motors, but I have noticed that it and other brushless tools are quite a bit louder than my old brushed tools. It's a very high pitch screeching sound. Not unique to this driver, but it is annoying and something to consider if you've only used brushed motor tools before. Two 5ah batteries means you can run a long time before changing. Those will be an excellent addition to my other 2ah batteries. I'm beginning to get overrun with chargers, but it's nice to be able to run a few at the same time when you have a larger job. Also a soft tool bag is included to keep everything together or use for travel jobs.
