Breaks way too easily

My 10 32 tap broke off in mild steel in the middle of a project. At first I assumed this was my fault for being new to tapping. However after ordering some cheap replacement taps on Amazon, I am quite displease with dewalt. The new taps, despite being super cheap, cut so much more smoothly. It's like night and day. These taps cut poorly, clog quickly, and are prone to breaking. The look and feel and operation of this product is second-rate in my experience, more like what I would expect from an unknown brand at half the price. There is no actual storage case, and the packaging is useless for keeping the parts in order once opened. The drill bits are poorly marked, barely legible, with no identification at all on there smallest bit. The handles for the taps and dies are crudely machined. Quality brands should look and feel smooth and operate smoothly. These don't. I will defend the product on one item complained about in other reviews; the tap holder DOES fit all the sizes of taps supplied. The users who are having trouble may not understand that the interior of the chuck that receives the taps is stepped in diameter, and the locking nut has to be loosened farther to receive the small taps than for the larger taps. This is counter-intuitive and may lead to the confusion. That design has been around for a very long time, across brands, so it shouldn't be blamed on this product.

The tap handle is too large for the smaller taps. Worthless!
