I absolutely love this "thang"! Fits tight over a crew neck undershirt & under a casual-dress, button-type shirt, then a polyester jersey as the outer garment.Took a nasty fall awhile ago, and this garment...along with Helmet, elbow & knee pads + goggles...suits me up in "full body armour" for doing battle with uneven pavement & stiff-necked, haughty passenger vehicle drivers...that HAVE NO REGARD FOR BICYCLISTS...on the highways & byways.

I bought the Men’s Padded Football Chest Rib Protector Shirt for my son, and it’s quickly become his new favorite! He plays high school football, so protection is a top priority for us, and this shirt provides excellent coverage for his ribs, chest, and shoulders. The padding is just right—thick enough to absorb impact but not bulky, so it doesn’t interfere with his mobility on the field.He loves how comfortable it is, and it fits perfectly under his uniform without feeling too tight or restrictive. This item was purchased for Grandson who plays high school rugby. It was as advertised and appears to be of good quality for a reasonable price.

Very very tight fit. Good material but The padding breaks apart into little pieces if you wash it in a washing machine. Mine lasted about 5 washes before I found this out. Now the pads are all bunched up, especially in the shoulders. If there were instructions not to machine wash, I didn’t see them.

My son wore this in a football game under his pads for the first time and after the game he had a small tear in the shoulder area that would have been skin if he hadn't been wearing this protective gear. That's a win in my book! He said its comfortable under all his gear.

I recently fell off my bicycle and bruised some ribs. I was looking for something to add a layer of protection while I healed and possibly for regular wear if suitable. I have worn the shirt now for about a month and am pleased with added protection that it provides. When you sweat the pads lightly stick to your skin and it is difficult to remove the shirt without breaking the seal that is created. I believe this aspect of the shirt will result in excellent abrasion resistance if you slide on gravel or pavement. Impact protection is harder to gauge but would be low to moderate since the pads are segmented and do not have a hard cover to spread and impact over a wide area.The shirt is well made and looks new after being washed several times. I place it in a wash bag to minimize the possibility of the pads being torn loose. I am 205 pounds with a 42 inch chest and a long waist, the largest size fits very well and goes nicely under a bicycle jersey.The one downside at least for Tucson is the shirt retains heat and may not be wearable in hotter weather.
