I have been looking for a straing ladle for years, just like this. All I've ever found in the local stores were the wide straining type for stir fry or fried foods. This is perfect.

I frequently make large pots of beans and while some of us like to eat them in a bowl with broth, many of us would rather strain them. I wasn’t even sure if there was such thing as a slotted ladle but luckily I found this and it’s perfect! Well made, sturdy, and with a hook for hanging as well.

This is perfect for grabbing poached eggs out of the water and many other uses. It drains quickly and is made of high quality metal. The handle is a straight vertical handle. I think the holes are a bit wide for skimming stocks or soups and it's not large enough to fetch vegetables or dumplings.

I got this for a specific purpose, to fish pickled eggs out of the pickling jar. But once I got it I was using it for a variety of things and is a common utensil that we use regularly and it's solid construction.

We purchased this for getting maraschino cherries out of a gallon container. We don't want the juice, but just the cherries. This would work well for olives as well.

It's not too long so it fits on your counter. It's not too heavy and yet it's sturdy. The holes are just the perfect size (you can easily scoop rice without losing grains). Good product, fair price!
