The dust shroud fits fine. I used it with my Kobalt 24v grinder, and my dewalt shop vac and everything connects as intended. BUT be aware the the diamond cup wheels are both the same - they are both the threaded and fit only the 6 screw grinders. I originally was going to review this poorly because of this, but I realized it was my error in ordering. Their listing description is actually correct, you just have to be careful with the details. My grinder is a 4 screw grinder and so I need the non-threaded cup wheel to safely use it and put the lock nut back on. Cup wheels are usually expensive, but they sell the one I need separately for only a few bucks (they're usually about $50-$80 at the hardware store for a name brand). So if you need a dust shroud, it works and fits fine, but be aware of the diamond wheel sizing when ordering. If you have a 4 screw grinder, get the extra cup when you order.

I did not have much luck with this at all. The included hose adapters do not fit on the tool - way too small. In reading the instructions, there are apparently 2 different depths of cutters depending on which grinder you have. But in this kit, both cutters are the same height - not the correct ones for my Porter Cable grinder. There is nothing about this in the listing. I did have another cutter I used to test this and I can't say that it did much to contain the dust - probably because the brushes on the tool were a bit mangled. I suspect that the cost of replacing the dust adapters and the cutter will be more than this tool is worth.

I bought a similar grinding cup that is 7 inch and paid $90. This 4 inch cup cuts faster for less than 1/10 of the price. The picture shows that it fits my Makita 9523NBH angle grinder. I notice one reviewer complained it didn't fit his tool very well. Good fit on mine and the spindle nut is well recessed for zero interference. Those steel lugs/teeth are impregnated with diamond all the way through, so it's going to last until they are worn away. I suspect you can get a lot of work done with this. I blow my grinder out with an air hose when done to reduce the amount of grit in the bearings and brushes. They include the necessary spacer washer for my application. I'll also add that there is a little vibration; this cup is not perfectly balanced. At $7 (Apr '25) I wouldn't expect it to be. In reality it's no worse than a abrasive wheel. If I had to criticize and make an improvement, it would be to make the grinding wheel screw on, which is how my 7 inch wheel is. Of course that's more material and machining so the price would go up. Still, it would be worth it to eliminate the nut, spacer and washer required to fit the device.

This fit just fine on my Firestorm (Black and Decker) angle grinder. I was a bit hesitant because it did not include cup washers to secure the grinding cup, but the standard nut for the grinder worked well enough. I checked it several times as I was using it and it never loosened, so all was well. I think this item is ideal for smaller, very occasional projects. For regular use, probably should spend more money. The instructions need a bit of help. They list parts that aren't there (the aforementioned cup washers, and they say there are two different styles of cup grinders, which there are not), and the pictograms are more confusing than anything. That said, it SHOULD be safe to assume that anybody attempting to use this, and already owns an angle grinder, is relatively handy and ought to be able to figure it out.I had no difficulty attaching it to my smaller wet/dry vac. It won't work with larger vacs with a (3"?) hose. I found it did a great job of keeping the concrete dust to a minimum. Still wore a mask though.Recommended for the price.

We recently remodeled the kitchen. Just when I thought I could put it behind me, it was decided that the tile floor did not got well with the cabinets and appliances. I chipped up the new/old tile, leaving a battleground on the backerboards.Using a system like this item should be a no brainer. Except my dust removal system grew legs and snuck out of my house. Noone recalls using it on the projects in THEIR homes, so that has to be it.Speaking of no brainer, since we were now walking on layer of blankets to use our NEW kitchen, I grabbed my angle grinder and started grinding down the lumps of mastic, grout, and even pieces of the previous tile. Suddenly, over the din of the grinder and the protection of my hearing protectors, there was a sound. It was the kind of noise a Viking makes just as he/she runs headlong into battle. Uh oh. And there stood my wife. She politely pointed out that everything in this predominately white kitchen was coated in a fine dust. Oops.Again, blaming the error on my empty cranium, I cleaned everything up and got on line for a solution. This one was perfect. Not only did it have a shroud that sent the debris to a vacuum cleaner, it also had TWO diamond grinding wheels. To buy two wheels locally like these would be about as much as the retail on this shroud kit. Two DIAMOND grinding wheels made the shroud essentially FREE. Buying this was brainless and that made me the perfect purchaser. The shroud is well made. It is strong and it does not flex. There are enough variations of connectors to find one that connected to a 1.25 inch hose coming from my shop vac. The present shop vac is a replacement, so I put the old hose together with the new hose. I am able to place the vacuum cleaner outside. I did use duct tape to hold the adapters to the shroud and the hose so nothing would pull out. The first thing that I noticed was my facemask remained unclogged. My eyes were not surrounded by a crust and they didn’t burn. And best of all, my wife rewarded me with a smile because there was very little dust anywhere.I awarded this dust removal system 5 stars. It kept my lungs, eyes, and home clean. Plus it restored peace and harmony in my world.
