The seven piece kit comes with 7 different polishing pads from 50 grit to 3000 grit. This selection allows for a mirror polish to to achieved. The kit also comes with a backer pad and an adapter to allow the pads to the chucked into a drill. Using similar pads I have found the 50 and 100 grits are the pads that get the most use and need replacement most often. Once you get the stone smooth down to 100 grit the remaining finer grits take very little effort and time. Overall this is a good kit at a good price.
