Keep shopping. I got this to properly drill a hole through tile in a shower stall, but it failed miserably. The "diamond" dust on the cutting edge of the smallest bit immediately flaked off as soon as the bit made contact with the tile. Then, the guide's 3 wheels could not be adjusted down small enough to keep the smallest bit from "wandering" around the tile instead of helping it stay on course and "bite" into the tile. Packed it up, sent it back, got a refund. Junk! Avoid!

Finally got a chance to use this yesterday. I'm ashamed to admit that when I tiled my shower I accidentally covered over the connection for the handheld shower. I've been trying to figure out what to do then came across this little gem. I knew where the line was, just didn't know how I was going to drill through to it. This little tool was perfect. It was a little tough getting the suction cups to stick to the tile, as the tile is slightly textured. I ended up putting some water on them and they stuck long enough to get the hole through it. I drilled it dry at first and was worried I would ruin the bit so I kept dipping the bit in water. I drilled through some super hard tile though with zero issues. This isn't a tool I'll probably use regularly, but when you need it, its going to save you a whole lot of trouble. So glad I tried it as my only other option was to bust tile off the wall.

It's inexpensive and can drill some holes, but it will take awhile and the bits wear out pretty fast. It's not a good choice if you need several holes that are the same size. I did use a steady stream of water to keep things cool, just as instructed. The suction cups didn't work well though and I had to use clamps to keep the guide in position. So long as you can secure it, it's nice. The kit is an okay choice if you don't need to use it often.

I needed to put a drain hole in my outside porch. This kit was overkill for the task, but I was glad to have it. It comes with a variety of sizes, so I was covered there as I had no diamond bits in the size I needed. Worked perfectly with 2 exceptions which may or may not be an issue for you. First, the jig is large, and in my case too large to get as far into the corner as I wanted. Second, the mandrel is short, and my drill was hitting the bearings before the bit got all the way through the tile. I had to finish it freehand, which wasn't bad since I had a pretty good hole already as a guide. With plenty of water to keep things cool I had an approximately 1/2" hole in less than a minute of drilling time. The bit didn't seem any worse for the wear.
