I ended up returning this because it was not exactly what I was looking for. However, I did try it out on my diamonds and it work perfectly.

I bought this because I believe it read that it tests diamonds and gems meaning semi precious stones. It only tests for diamonds. The acid test kit I bought also came with a diamond tester so this one was a waste of money.
