I cut the cable many years ago, refusing the pay the high prices for Cable TV because I mainly watch local broadcast stations. Since then, I've had a variety of over the air antennas, from flat ones to circular ones, some clear and others opaque, some with magnetic bases other without... all that to say, I've had lots of bad experiences and a few good experiences with over-the-air antennas. That said, this little antenna impressed the heck out of me, which is not easy to do!First, over-the-air TV reception was fantastic. Like I mentioned at the start, I have several TVs hooked up to different antennas, so I simply switched out one of my flat plastic coated window mounted antennas with this one. Instantly, I was able to continue picking up all the same channels that were programmed into my digital TV receiver without needed to re-scan for channels.Second, I got this particular antenna because it says it has a magnetic base, which I want for sticking it to a metal cabinet next to a window. The magnet on this antenna is amazingly strong. It stays firmly affixed to the side of the cabinet and does not slip of move at all. A different one I purchased would just fall off when mounted to the side of the cabinet. I was even able to get this antenna to stay stuck to a door hinge, which doesn't have much metal area to stick to but it stays stuck together.Third, this antenna is really small. Several of the other antennas I've purchased that have posts (rather than being a flat antenna) have been about 12 to 15 inches tall. This antenna is just 5 inches tall and still pulls in channels better than any of those other antennas. Finally, this antenna is a good value for the money. That is, I've purchased several antennas that were priced under $20, but none of them performed well. This antenna was between $20-$25 when I purchased it and works better than other ones I purchased for $30 to $50.Overall, I am extremely pleased with this over the air digital HD TV antenna. It receives all the local channels in my broadcast area, the signals come in strong and clear (very few interruptions or dropped signals), the magnetic base is super strong so the antenna sticks where ever you place it, and its pretty small so it can easily be hidden out of sight.

Pro Tip: Remove the red rubber protector for the screw on the base, to screw in the metal antenna since they came in disassembled. For antennas, it is usually YMMV because of the location and proximity to the broadcast stations. TV antennas are normally mounted outdoor for best results. So with that in mind, my review will be very highly dependent on those factors i.e. even if this is the best antenna in the universe, there is no way it will work if there is no broadcasting station in my area or if this is placed inside a box.I am from South Florida, using a pretty cool old Full HDTV (5 years old). I normally use a TV streamer on my TV, be it Roku or Firestick. My old TV has connector for Antenna jack and recently, I used another similar device, and this TV antenna worked perfectly (let's call this device AntNew and the other AntOld)!. This AntNew is half the price of AntOld, AntOld is an amplified version (powered), and this one is not. I got 22 more channels using AntOld (this is the baseline).Installation was a breeze, the antenna connector fits like a glove, it comes with a relatively long cable, and I positioned this small portable AntNew to where the other AntOld was. Nothing is blocking its way to ensure clear reception of signal.I turned on my TV, and out of the 22 Channels I am able to watch from AntOld, I am able to watch 15 Channels using this AntNew. Not that 7 channels are not showing, but the 7 other channels' signals were not strong, and it shows "blockies".As mentioned, YMMV. Getting Live TV Broadcast for my Home is easy, and I'd say at the time I got this, "affordable".Update: April 11, 2025 - fixed typosNote: Product is not completely free, subject to paying tax!Rating Process:5 stars- Great item, not necessarily perfect, the good overcame what I dislike. Grab this one for sure!4 stars- Meets advertised description, have at least one imperfection, or not my "preference". Great purchase!3 stars- Meets advertised description, have more than one imperfections or does not meet my "preference". It's ok.2 stars- It works, but low quality. I do not recommend.1 star- Does not work, or not as described. I do not recommend.
