If you use multimeters often, you know the standard is Fluke. If you don't, your standard is typically a meter like this one. For around the house jobs, it's works, and it seems reasonably accurate within a tenth of a volt. There's two main issues I hold with this meter, and why it's a 4 star and not 5. First, the auto-ranging function which is typical of digital multimeters is extremely slow. Sometimes it's taken up to 3-4 seconds to figure out the voltage or resistance that I'm reading. That's subpar in my book. For a few more bucks you can buy Fluke knockoffs that perform far better than this meter.Secondly, and it may not be an actual issue, but I don't like how you have to select AC or DC via toggle button. It's easy to miss which mode you're in, which is indicated in tiny letters on the corner of the screen. If you're working in dark areas, you will easily miss it.Beyond that, for the simple jobs around the house, testing circuits, it gets the job done. It will stay in my drawer inside the house, just for this purpose. In this age of Chinese products flooding the market, you could do better for just a few more bucks however.

This is a nice, no-frills, little clamp meter. It performs all the usual tests such as AC and DC voltage (with auto ranging), resistance, and amperage (2 - 500 amps). It's smaller in size that I expected but seems to have a sturdy build. The buttons are responsive and the clamp trigger is firm but not difficult. I also like that it has a backlight for the LCD screen and a small flashlight to help see where the clamp is going. When using the probes, the readings I received were the same or very close to my Klein meter. Unfortunately, I have not yet had an opportunity to try out the clamp meter. Since you must clamp around a single wire in an AC circuit for it to work correctly, my best opportunity to try it out will be the next time I swap out a light fixture or light switch. There are only a couple of very minor cons that I could see. First, it would be nice if they had a more aggressive texture on the side of the selector wheel so I could scroll through the options with my thumb rather than have to use my other hand to turn the knob. Second, while common on less expensive meters, I wish they would use silicone or at least a more flexible insulation material on the leads. The stiff plastic used can make it more difficult to keep your probes where you need them when taking a reading.Overall, this is a nice meter for the price; it seems fairly accurate and solid. The LCD readout seems to work well, especially with the backlight, and the fact it has a clamp option is a pretty nice bonus. While the texture on the selector and the plastic insulation on the leads are not ideal, they are pretty common on meters in this price range and are not, in my opinion, a major issue.

This LESEHIY Digital Clamp Meter, Multimeter Tester works as expected. I have used it just like any other multimeter and it is easy enough to operate. Usually, I use it for troubleshooting an automotive issue and I haven't had any problems with the meter. No complaints.

I really wanted to like this multimeter but to be brutally honest, it barely works.I've tried the clamp functionality with all sorts of appliances and I can barely get it to budge and read something other than 0 at any scale, even at high loads. No amount of jiggling, wiggling, turning on/off, centering, bending, etc, seems to help. Resistive loads, inductive loads, constant loads, PWM loads, they all seem to present this problem.Voltage and resistance measurements through leads are also very, very slow, and imprecise. Short circuiting the leads in resistance mode results in the resistance measurement to eventually go down to 0, briefly, but even keeping things nice and tight, it will eventually jump up to non-zero values. The documentation and description are also not that accurate. The LCD has some icons that are not documented. The description says it runs on 3 AAA batteries, in reality two are required. This is really a pity because at the price point this tool is available it would have been a really great find even if it didn't work perfectly -- sometimes I don't even care exactly how many amps are going through a wire, I just want to know if it's a little or a lot. Unfortunately, even that sort of qualitative measurement seems out of reach.

I have a similar meter in my work shop and wanted one for my house. I was surprised how much smaller this one is compared to the other one. The pictures are a little misleading. What else is new with sellers on Amazon. Picture Magic. Also, the manual that comes with it is next to microfiche you will need to buy a microfiche reader or big magnifying glass to read. Why??? That is my pet peeve with sellers making worthless unreadable manuals in the tiniest type size available on a postage stamp size of paper. The functions on this meter are a bit different than on my other larger meter so yes, I did want to read the manual and have it readable with my meter in tool box so I actually scanned the manual and printed out the 2 important sections. The maker / seller is so lazy on customer support they did not supply a readable PDF with this either as do many other very good sellers on the Amazon Listing page for you to read before/after purchase.I have to remove 2 stars here for the stupidity of making a manual this size, no pdf, and the misleading pictures. They should post a picture with the actual / real size of this meter. Now for the meter itself... it's ok. It does what a meter should do. This could have been a 5 star product except for above, but because of that it also makes me wonder how this will hold up over time. Pay attention to customer feedback Mfg/Seller... and fix things !!!
