Even though most satellite systems have a built in finder, it's a pain! The responsiveness is horrible, and you need to be on a phone with someone in the house while you're up on the roof. This makes an awful job much, much easier. I bought one after my neighbour took pity on me. I'd be at it for more than 25 mins and was having a very frustrating time. He popped up the ladder, plugged his finder in, and literally less than 5 mins later, we were dialed in to 95%+ on the relevant satellite. The next time there's a storm and I need to re-adjust, I'll be able to do it myself and it will take no time flat! Highly recommended.
