It's hard to measure the accuracy of these when my alternative measures are all cheaper soil meters, but I tried. The pH meter got a reading slightly under the indicated 4.0 and 7.0 of the pH test solutions, so it's a bit off already. Still, being consistently slightly lower means I can just add back on the .3 error to get the real measure, so it's workable. The prongs on the moisture meter are kinda short, so it's hard to check soil underneath mulch. I tried. It said my soil was dryer than my other moisture meters indicated, but I don't know if that's because this one has a different accuracy or because the others were able to go deeper in the soil. It rained all day yesterday and this read only 25% or so for the soil. That doesn't seem right, but again, I was having trouble getting around the mulch to test the soil underneath.I also did not see any instructions for Bluetooth in the box. It's on the listing, but not in the box. I haven't tried the Bluetooth since I'm not sure where I want to leave this yet.In summary, it's not perfect, and I probably should've just stuck to cheaper soil meters.

This soil meter is an absolute must have if you desperately want a green thumb but fall short. Easy to use soil meter and the instructions are easy to follow. So far the reading appear to be accurate and my flowers and plants are growing better than ever. I can't wait to see what my plant future hold.

As someone who has a few houseplants that tend to dry up, seeing as this had a Bluetooth connectivity to an app, meant I might get some relief from loosing dehydrated plants. Unfortunately the App doesn't connect to the soil probe, and there isn't any instructions or support on this listed anywhere (aside from the device listing 5.2 bluetooth compatibility).TLDR: The sensors, on their own work as expected (5 out of 5 stars for functionality), however there are concerns with the pH tester and general support for the devices (bringing the overall rating down to 3).Aside from the connectivity of the device (which would justify its higher price point), this kit does come with standard PH solutions (tested with another kit to 7.0 and 4.0 ph), and it provides good instructions on how to properly calibrate the pH probe. Outdoors, my berry bushes read a 4.9 - so time to add in some more acid, and my mangos read 5.2, so need to add some more alkalinity there). It seems like the sample rate is fairly low (and taking averages) so it does take about 30 seconds for the reading to stabilize. The hygrometer is a lot more sensitive and quick to read. The sensors do use 3x Lr44 button batteries each, but Theres no indication on expected lifespan of the batteries or how long those will last. The units do seem fairly rugged, and seem like they could last outdoors for a while in the elements (if using the probe as a remote sensor if the app worked).Despite having a back light and a standard LCD display, these were a bit hard to read in the bright sun (which would have made the app even more useful). It does mention that the pH probe may need to be replaced, but doesn't give any information on when that might be or how long the probes are expected to last. In addition, the pH probe does need to be stored carefully (using the provided solution to keep the probe sponge moist). While we do work on our yard on a weekly basis, keeping the tool maintained (not just calibrated), does seem like some extra work (it mentions if not properly stored, the probe sensitivity might drop - but didn't mention weather re-calibrating the sensors with the provided solution can help extend the lifetime of the sensor). While this is a nice kit overall (containing both units, and calibration solutions), without the app connectivity and the unknown life of the pH probe, makes this kit seem a bit expensive compared to other units.

I really love plants but I am terrible at keeping them alive. Getting the watering right seems to be the hardest part for me. I've tried the cheap hygrometers in the past and found them to be completely worthless so I thought I'd give this kit a try. I'm really impressed with it so far. It's not perfect, but it's way better than anything else I've tried. The probes work very well and they're easy to use. The instructions are written by a non-native English speaker so it took me a bit to figure out exactly what I was supposed to do, but once I had it figured out, they worked great. The kit seems to include everything you need, including pH calibration solutions and the printed instructions I just referred to. I didn't see any instructions for using Bluetooth with the devices but I wasn't really interested in that capability, I was more interested in spot reading. If the app can capture data over time that might actually be useful but I'll have to dig into that in the future. The readings seemed to be fairly reliable from what I could tell. The soil moisture sensor says it needs to be fully inserted into the soil which isn't ideal since I would like to be able to measure the moisture content at different depths. While the probes seem to be relatively well constructed, I don't think I'd trust leaving them outside and completely exposed to the elements. I also found the display is a little difficult to read even when you're indoors. All things considered, I'm very happy with this kit so far.

Gives accurate readings.Easy to use.I wish I could do moisture readings at various depths, but this one requires the full length of the probes be under to give accuracy. Great for houseplants. Version 2.0 would be awesome if they had various depth probes because that is pretty important. Particularly 3 inches down and 6 inches down when being used for outdoor plants. Thank youI have no interest in the app connection so I did not try that or get into that at all. We are a low bluetooth/wifi believer.Best set I have had yet for temp, soil PH and moisture. Easy to use. I hope they last a long time!I would buy this again for sure!
