The case is great in size and padding. It fits Mares leg perfect. Only issue is that there is a heavy cigarette smell coming from the case. Hopefully it airs out and goes away.

It'll hold a 590 Shockwave with a DSF-500/590 lighted forend, but it's just barely long enough. It does press against the zipper when closed. Not as though one would worry it might burst open, but it's important to note. I'm hoping this bag will stretch slightly with use. No stars deducted for the length, though I'm on the fence about that.It's as advertised, though. It feels solidly constructed. Importantly, it's no larger than it needs to be, unlike the vast majority of universal-ish rifle and shotgun cases. When closed, it doesn't take up very much room at all. This is the positive flip-side to it being just barely large enough for the intended firearm. (:The side pocket is nice also, to store some extra shells or accessories.

I have other Ace cases I bought over 20 years ago and they are holding up well.Their products are well made and tailor fit. With my Tac-14 with a Wilson one shot extension the fit is very good. There is a bit of extra room, but it's not swimming in there. You also don't have to work to zip it shut.The side pocket holds a lot of extras which is great, and the velcro is secure enough to not lose any loose rounds out the ends.My only wish would be for the strap to be detatchable.

I got this case for transporting my Henry Mare's Leg in .22 and was hoping for a passable zippered case with hopes of fitting it with the scope attached. Seeing that I also have a .44mag Rossi Ranch Hand with no means of mounting a scope, I figured it wouldn't be a waste if the scope didn't fit.My scope, as you can see in my pictures however, does indeed fit while installed.The padding is roughly one inch (25ish MM) thick, and wraps around the fold in the case.It's lining is very soft, reminiscent of felt, but more similar to magician's black cloth up close.There is fuzzy sided velcro on the outside of the side pocket for placement of patches, and the pocket is long enough for a cleaning rod, and several boxes of .22 am mothere is a shoulder sling on the case, and it can be cinched flat to the side of the case like it comes in the box, or it can be extended for shoulder carry. The strap can be detached from one end, and fed through a pack frame or the like as well.

Fits the Henry mares leg .22 perfect....Outside pocket is handy for Ammo or whatever very well-made. Heavy duty handles and shoulder strap.
