Very similar to a kalimba.Got this for my 2 year old who is into musical instruments like xylophones and pianos. This mbira is simple to play and the notes are tuned well so no matter what you play on it, it sounds beautiful and cohesive.

This 7 Key Thumb Piano is a gem! It’s portable, beautifully crafted, and has a lovely sound. As someone who loves exploring new instruments, I am always looking for something for my grandson to try, instead of a computer game. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was for him to pick up and start playing. The sound is clear and resonant and the wooden body gives it a rich, authentic tone. It’s durable enough for an eleven year old to play. Overall, this thumb piano is perfect for music lovers of all levels. Highly recommend it as a gift or a personal treat!

Not the design pictured. The one I received has a dolphin on it. It also shipped half wrapped in a little bubble wrap inside a paper envelope. All the keys were smashed together in the middle. It's ok.

It’s pretty And a cute instrument but not worth the value. There was a hole in it that was not intentional, I consider it a flaw. Although they gave me a very small refund, I was still very neutral to it after it all. shipping it back was not practical Coat wise, or I would have.
