Flasher

Hyperblink Fix. Why do you need this module? When your factory turn signal bulbs go out your vehicle's flasher senses that less power is being used and it will blink the turn signals quickly to alert you. Since LED bulbs use less power you get the same fast blinking known as hyperblinking even though the LEDs are functioning just fine. Basically your car thinks the bulbs went out!

To slow down the blinking to regular speed you can add resistors to increase the circuit's power consumption again. However whenever possible replacing the flasher with a module like this is the easiest option. Simply unplug your original flasher from under the dash and swap it with this one to prevent hyperblinking.

Quality. The flashers distributed by Diode Dynamics are produced by industry leaders such as Novita. Watch out for generic cheap flashers as many are slightly too large and may not fit properly in the socket.

If you have a flasher module adjacent to your fuse box ( you can feel it click with hazards) this will not work. To date I have not found any that will without modifying the panel in that module. If the fuse box click you can use this product to directly replace the module on the back of the fuse box. Requires average skill to unplug wires and remove one panel and two bolts.

Although the area where it is located is rather tough to get to, it plugged right in and took care of my hyperflash issue.

Worked as intended, resolves issue with LED lighting issues when changing from standard lights to LED , well worth the price

Perfect. Eliminates the need for resistors on every blinking light when converting to LED lights on your older vehicle. At $20 it's also a fairly inexpensive solution.

This relay worked perfectly on my 2008 Toyota Tacoma. I swapped out all my turn signals for LED bulbs and had hyper flash symptoms. This solution is the best. Do not waste your time with resistors that only add to the load on the circuit and heat up. The whole point of LED's is to reduce current draw and extend lifespan. This relay solved my hyper flash symptoms and my sequential turn signals work as they should. The only issue I had was that the turn signal flasher relay on the Tacoma is under the dash behind the fuse box. To replace/swap this relay, you will need to remove the dash panel below the steering wheel and remove the bolts/nuts holding the fuse panel to the firewall. Once the fuse box is dropped low enough, you can access the relay on the back of the fuse box- this is the reason why mechanics hate engineers.

I installed this flasher to get rid of the hyper flashing (fast flash). While it worked great on the rear flashers, the front flashers did not work at all. I re-installed the factory flasher, all flashers worked, but are hyper flashing. My truck does not have Daytime Running Lights (non-DTRL), and it is not have the SRT5 or TRD trim levels. While I hear that this product works great on some gen-2 Tacomas, it did not work on mine.

Installed to eliminate fast blink issues that come with replacing incandescent bulbs with LED. Installed about three months ago. So far so good. Installed on a 2008 Tacoma.

The Diode Dynamics LED Flasher CF18 Smart relay was compatible with my RX350. Once I found the original Flasher relay it was easy to remove the OEM Toyota flasher and pop in the Diode Dynamics CF18.Overall install to 30mins - 20mins to find the old relay and 10mins to replace it.Programming the CF18 was easy as described by Diode Dynamics. No issues.I will follow up with a 6 month review.
