These DIP sockets are perfect for firmly attaching to a bread board ICs, switches, etc. that have short/thin pins. They have longer and stouter pins on them to make good contact with breadboard holes. I use them regularly and save myself a lot of trouble running down bad connections like I did before I started using these. Support these people and buy their product!
