I needed some wheels and an axle for a cart project. This kit comes with two 8-inch wheels, hardware for attaching the wheels, an axle, and hardware for mounting the axle to a dirt bike or something else. In my case, it's something else. So when your kid no longer needs these training wheels, you can easily repurpose them into a cart project of your own.Overall, this training wheel kit is very good quality, and has worked excellent for my application.

This product looks as if it might be suitable for its stated use. The parts are well made, and it's mechanically simple and pretty rugged.I actually obtained it to use at the rear of a long wheeled rack I've built to roll two inflated stand-up-paddleboards and their gear from our cottage garage down to the water-edge. For that purpose, it works excellently. Easy to install, plenty rugged for the job, works great.

Note - not using this for a dirt bike. Using this to make an insanely fast 2 wheel electric scooter a tad more stable.I had recently acquired a 6000w dual drive electric scooter. It is capable of very fast acceleration and high top end speed. Being prudent, I started researching what I could do to make it safer...ish.I came upon the idea of training wheel, and laughingly put the search term in my Amazon search. I was amused to see that they did exist for dirt bikes, and with a little modification, I could attach them to the scooter deck, and at least in a straight line it would stop tipping, in theory. This arrived with a instruction sheet that had been taped (badly) to the inside due to the package having a "delay in shipping" incident that required someone to tape the box back together. No parts were missing, but it pretty much trashed the instructions. From what I could glean, use the 4 cotter pins and flat fender washers to attach the wheels to the shaft. After that it gets more murky, but since I'm not using those mounts, not a big problem for me. I'm going to have to fab some mounting brackets that will go through the edge of the deck and hold it in place. I intend to use some decent gauge steel plate and have about 4 points of attachment to the deck, and weld the included mounts to it. I can rotate the bar to give a little bit of height adjustment. For my purposes this kits is darn near perfect. For using with the proper dirtbike I can't comment on, but I recommend this kit just for the parts alone if you are doing something similar to me.

Picked these up for my son's MX125 since he's still learning how to ride. He got the bike for Christmas but hasn’t been able to try it out until now. These training wheels made it possible. They’re super secure and give enough confidence to ride without worrying about tipping over. I ended up going all in and upgraded the whole setup—swapped the stock controller for one that handles 48V, added a variable speed steering wheel throttle, and ditched the old lead acid battery. Now it's running on four 11.1V LiPo packs with custom XT60 parallel and series connectors, pushing 22.2 volts at 24,000mAh and 100C. Highly recommended if you're looking to build a solid starter setup.

The training wheels worked great for my 7-year-old great nephew's dirt bike. He is more comfortable with the training wheels on it. They were easy to install and adjust to fit. The instructions were easy to follow and understand, and all hardware was included. They are made of good quality metal, and once installed are very sturdy. Great fit for dirt bikes for the smaller ones, that give them good sturdy balance while learning the gas throttle and brakes.

This dirt bike training wheels worked well with an electric bike we have. It can be a good training aid. Just make sure it can mount to the underside of your bike.
