I was pleasantly surprised by picking the right belt the first time around. It's very simple to replace the Dirt Devil engineers saw fit to put about 7 screws to get to the belt.

For some reason, my vacuum cleaner keeps breaking these belts whenever something gets little stuck during cleaning. These bets are fine. Recommended.................

When my vaccum cleaner wasn't picking anything up, I wondered what was wrong. Then I discovered that the belt was broken. I ordered this, replaced the belt and vacuum worked just fine. It sure saved me a lot of money to do this instead of having to buy a new vacuum.

Worked perfectly. Seemed short and a bit tight, but when I pulled the brush into position, worked perfectly! Fixed Vacuum cheap and easy!

The biggest issue people have with vacuum's is that they lose power over time... I'd guess that 90% of that could be fixed by general maintenance.1. Take off all the hoses and run a garden hose through it to clean it good.2. Take off the brush and clean off every string, hair, and unidentified substance.3. REPLACE THE BELT.4. Replace the bag.5. Clean and/or Replace the air filters.6. Check for and clean clogs in the vacuum itself.7. Give the entire vacuum and good cleaning to make it look new (maybe even use a bit of wax).8. Reassemble and you're good to go.
