Compared to a few other disco ball rotating devices I have used this is by far my favorite. The sound function actually works. The light is very bright and did we mention it’s rechargeable?!?! Like you don’t have to have it plugged in the whole time!? You will definitely have a brighter light if it is plugged in but how cool is that? You can put it up anytime you want it anywhere and not need to have it wired to something. Other models tend to have AA or AAA battery options but I never use those.So far I’d say this is a great item it’s very well built with multiple functions brightens and speeds.If you own a disco ball you absolutely need this to go with it.

I love the old disco balls, they are so much fun when you have the kids over or friends over and music and food and so on and so on! But over the years, I have sold our disco balls and so I got another one for coming up events, and when I saw this battery operated motor, it was perfect! No more cords! Rechargeable! Colorful! Easy to install! Multiple settings! Need I say more? The newest disco ball I got was not the typical size of the one I had before which was huge, I got a smaller 10 inch one just for ambience. This little motor attaches easily to the ceiling by a hook and cords on the top of the motor, and there is no cord that you have to worry about being close enough to a plug or get an extension cord or anything. It’s rechargeable by a C charger cord and comes with one in the box. It comes with a remote control, and there are several settings.Slow medium, and fast, or there’s also a music sync mode, when I had it on fast it was almost spinning too much for me to try and watch the lights. And in fast mode, I can say it’s not too relaxing going around the room and on the ceiling. My mode was slow mode and it was pretty! I highly recommend it. It’s a fun toy to have and you could hang anything from the cord that rotates around from it from your ceiling, including Christmas ornaments or whatever they would all be pretty if you had something else up there to use with it besides just a disco ball. What an absolute perfect answer to the age-old problem of how to install a mirror ball over a dance floor.I am a mobile DJ, and one of the persistent problems has always been how to get wiring to a mirror ball that you want to put above the dance floor without having to deal with how to hide the wiring to the motor. Nobody wants to see a wire looping across the ceiling and trying to secure the unsightly cable.Problem solved!Hanging the motor is not a real issue: there is always a beam or other support structure to secure the motor to the ceiling. The wiring? That is a different issue. This unit cleanly solves the problem by utilizing its rechargeable battery and the remote control. Simply hang the motor, mount the ball, and push the button on the remote. What could be simpler?Add in the bonus of the LED lights and you have an instant party. Yes, you still need a couple of pin spot lights, but those can usually be mounted on your trusses or speaker stands, so they don't create an issue.This remote controlled motor has just solved an old nagging issue and made my job just a little bit easier.

I am a child of the seventies, and I grew up hating disco. So imagine my surprise and mild self-loathing when I got my hands on this and couldn't stop grinning. Damn it, I'm not supposed to like this! But it's a helluva lot of fun. Oh, and my cats are mesmerized, too, which is hilarious. Now where did I put that Abba album...?

This is a great item and it works as advertised. I gave it 3 Stars for the working feature but needed to deduct two for the price. It lacks the inclusion of one 4 6 8 or 10 inch Disco Ball. It says it works with any of those but for the price you can get the same item on Amazon with a disco ball included. Also most individual advertised disco ball here on Amazon are 12" or 16" which may or may not work.If you got already a ball and need the light and features this unit has great. If you got to buy also the ball, well I would look for a set option.PS: The music light feature seems to actual work great.

Super cute no matter if you like to entertain or if you just want to have a vibe in your bedroom. Great accent and totally changes a room. Get tons of compliments on it when having people over.
