This is a unique set of shelves. They were easy enough to put together and can hold various knicknacks without any issues.

Be carful with this right out of the box. Open in non-living areas like basement/garage/work shed and wear gloves to wipe/clean/vacuum. Right out of the package the prices were covered in what looked like fiber glass dust and tiny little fiber glass hairs. A few holes weren’t even close but I have tools was easy fix. Smaller than I thought. Other than that they look nice once cleaned, and re-drilled.

They are nice for what they are, cheaper Chinese wares. But they will do for what I needed.

A set of two book shelves for $50 ($30 during an Amazon sale as I type this) is not the best value if you ask me. Either look elsewhere or wait for a sale if you have your heart set on this particular design. As I said you do get two shelves which was actually a shock to me as I was setting all the pieces and parts out getting ready to assemble. Nothing in the description clearly states that you get two except for the plural use of the word “shelf” in the item description. It turned out to be a nice bonus as I was able to utilize one for home and one at work! The product details state that this the shelves are “solid desktop bookshelf are made from hard, whole pieces of quality pine, not spliced wood.”. To be honest I’m not sure if I believe that description. As I was assembling the shelves I was dubious of this claim based on the weight of each piece and the fact that the blonde wood grain clearly looks like laminate to me. I’m not going to cut one in half to prove myself right (or wrong) but I do have my suspicions. What furthers my suspicion of the laminated MDF claim is some of the counter sunk predrilled screwed holes show a bit of fiber that looks a lot like particle board to me. If the shelves are indeed MDF or some other laminated particle board then I would double down on my recommendation that you look elsewhere for two $25 shelves at full price. The shelves were easy to assemble and to their credit the company did include very clear and easy to follow and understand instructions. If you have a power screw driver with an hex bit you’ll save yourself a lot of troubles. I did not have one with me at work and I was cursing the tiny little allen wrench as it flew out of my hand several times during assembly. All in all it’s an “okay” shelf. The blonde “wood” isn’t the most attractive color in my opinion, but it is after all just an opinion. The shelf came in really handy at work to store some desk clutter so I am happy to have the shelf in the end.I am going to rate this shelf as 3-stars; middle of the road. I’m sure there are nicer products out there and to be honest if you have a few power tools you could probably build yourself something more attractive for the same price and feel more accomplished. As I truly feel that user reviews are the best way to gauge a product before you buy, I hope you've found this review helpful. Cheers!

This is a desktop bookshelf, but with a little assistance with a drill press and securing the back, I was able to make this a wall hanging shelf. You get two of these, and I used one for a wall shelf and the other for my hallway shoe rack as its inteded.Putting together the selfs was very easy with the included instructions. I did need to use my own tools. The fasteners were provided, but not the tool.Very happy with the outcome that I was able to make this work for me.

I really like this shelf and it's a set apparently. As I was putting it together I realized I had double pieces and it made two which was pretty cool. I have this for my office desk and it's a decent size. It fits well on my desk. It was easy to put together. The instructions were easy to follow and I really like that and ended up as a two-piece.

These are the cutest little space savers. I got these to hold the odds and ends trinkets that build up in a library, taking up shelf room. Shelf room that I need for books. So easy to assemble, and the instructions are very accurate, easy to follow. If you have bunch of doo dads that need organizations, these shelves are for you. They would also work well in a commercial settings to enhance merchandise display. I will probably get more of thee to help in other rooms. I think they would make great gifts, to help in dorm rooms or small apts.
